[Tan/Beige] generally use it to mic the top of a snare drum with no worries of it being hit by a drumstick 5 |

[5.8 x 4 x 3.3"] The Korg Volca Drum is a super fun & creative percussion synthesizer. This Volca definitely is unique. It offers six parts each with layers of two individual sounds per part that can be edited separately or together. Programming is very immediate and the controls invite tweaking without having read the manual. However there are a few settings that aren't immediately intuitive which are accessed with the edit/step button and then scrolled through by the select/parameter knob. These potentially overlooked settings really do add to the sound giving bit reduction, wave folding, overdrive, panning, and gain adjustment. The three distortions here add a bit of grit to the sound and in my experience don't degrade the sound too much either, being mostly consistently useable at maximum settings. The motion record opens up the sound design potential quite a bit even if it is a shame that motion recording isn't available for the resonator parameters. I especially enjoy motion recording the rate of the LFO modifier. So many types of synthetic percussion can be made with this synth and, with choke groups, you can treat multiple sounds as a single instrument set. Programming on the Volca Drum is a joy. I plan on holding onto mine probably forever. 5 |

[Red] This drum cover works great. I was able to cover my drums, cymbals and all the percussion stuff I have clustered around the drum set. The lightly weighted corners let it just fall into place. 5 |

[Unidirectional] i use this Pyle PDMIC78 microphone for home recording on guitar amps, snare drum and vocals. very sturdy construction and very easy to get a great sound from it. the only thing i didn't like was the XLR to 1/4cable that comes with it. sounds much better with a XLR-XLR low impedance cable. i can't believe the low price! it is impossible to go wrong with this purchase and B&H shipped it to me lightning fast Thanks! 5 |

[AC Adapter] I have tried all matter of compact electronic drum. This is hands down the best. If you want more of a sampler, get the SPD-S. If you want a reliable, gig ready, mini-drum set with realistic sounds, get this. Yes, there are many cheaper options out there. But, if you're a serious musician, you get what you pay for. You can augment this pad in a plethora of ways. I use Wavedrum for my snare when playing live. I have used and acoustic snare and hi-hat in the past. I always use the KD-7 trigger for my kick sounds. Basically, you're someone who plays out often or you just want the best sounding pad on the market, I would highly recommend the SPD-30. Don't waste the hours of research I did checking out other options. Get the Octopad. 5 |

[Download] Yes, it sounds amazing. The snare is not the 808 snare, but you can get some really cool sounds out of it, especially with the stutter. I usually layer it with the clap, which you can tune via PCM, and it sounds outstanding, so I am not modding it. Don't get bogged down in snaresville, this thing has a huge kick drum, stutter feature, amazing step jumping, a ribbon controller, it syncs to your DAW's external clock, and it has live motion and stutter recording. Believe me when I say it's worth every penny, even if you end up using a different drum machine, this thing is a mini beast and so fun! 5 |

[Black] Used this for a drum recording session. The snare tracks came out great with A LOT less of the hi-hat and other drum sounds in the mix. I had to set this up quickly, I would suggest working with it a bit before a recording session to make sure you are comfortable with positioning etc. 5 |
