Phono Preamp For Turntable

[47 Kilohms] My Denon DM music system with Polk speakers has no dedicated phono input, so I needed a preamp. A staff member at B & H told me about a turntable with a preamp, a new concept to me, as all my previous systems had phono inputs, so I would just buy the turntable that seemed best. The EQ helps compensate for varying sound quality on records or offers quick adjustment for desired listening preferences. The bonus is having a couple of line level inputs so you can plug anything else in. It’s everything I need to play music through my 2-ch system with a passive crossover sub. No more, no less.

[1.2 lb] I am using this phono preamp to record my vinyl collection and it does an amazing job. I have used it with a couple of audio recording programs and being able to adjust the Gain level on the unit ensures consistent recordings. The AC adaptor is not included, but you don't need one. It will power on sufficiently through the USB cable you use for recording. I also purchased that on B&H with excellent results: Comprehensive USB 2.0 A Male To B Male Cable - 3'. I recommend this product, it makes recording vinyl a breeze.

[4 Ohms] Fantastic sound for the price. Excellent for phono input without any amp or preamp. Excellent for Bluetooth streaming also.

[4 mV ±3 dB] This is the turntable I have been looking for. It has automatic start and return and has a built in EQ that allows you to run this table with a modern receiver that does not have a phono input. My receivers have phono inputs so I don't know how well this feature works. The only complaint is that the output of this table is not as high as my previous Technics table. This may simply be a matter of the stock cartridge which is serviceable, but pretty low end. I have purchased an Ortofon cartridge that may raise the output level, but I have not installed it yet. I'm going to run the table stock for a few weeks to get a baseline for comparison of the new cartridge. B & H had the best price on this table that I found and they shipped it out quickly. If you are looking for a good table at a good price, buy this one from B&H Photo.

[23.77 lb] Great unit, works perfectly with my turntable phono input and WiiM optical connection. Quiet, no overheating, smooth operation. No issues and great sound.

[17.005 lb] What a beautiful statement this Thorens turntable makes in the gloss white color! Also, it sounds fantastic. This was an upgrade for me from a turntable that has no preamp. With this model’s built in preamp, my listening experience has been dramatically elevated. As an added bonus, the white matches our entertainment center perfectly. It is so unique.
