Photography Strobe Lighting

[7.2 lb] This Octabox is great for lighting a small group in the studio. The included 'free' grid is great for keeping light where I want it. I find this 84 Softbox reasonable to assemble and disassemble and it is made of sturdy materials. Please notice that you must purchase a speed ring for this item separately. Also, if you are planning on using this outdoors, make sure to have a sturdy light stand with a lot of extra weights... It loves to twist and fly in the wind without it. Seriously, this softbox will make you pay if you forget to tighten one of the stands extension clamps. One thing I have found is that when using this as an outdoor key light for overcast days or shade pictures, I can actually get away with my 580 ex speedlight as the strobe for this when I am shooting small groups at around f3.5... I had wondered about this before I bought it, so I thought I would share my findings! Finally, please remember the most challenging part of using this softbox is the mounting and dismounting to from the strobe head. Having a second person to assist you, greatly reduces the chances of breaking a bulb.

[Yes] The Neo 2 is a two-fer: continuous lighting and a strobe. PLUS it has a wide ISO range, brightness adjustments and built-in Elicnchrom receiver. The special-effects are a bonus and, if you're dabbling into video, a great way to add realistic lighting effects to your work.

[0.305 lb] With my mirrorless camera, this is enough for me to provide lighting for now. I can see why it is so popular. And I haven't yet used it in strobe mode or for long periods of time.

[GX6.35] I'm a professional photographer who uses Hensel lighting. This is a comprehensive kit that gets you started in strobe lighting without having to buy extra gear. The included strobe wizard is excellent, so now you don't have to get another trigger system and the quality of the unit's build and light is on par with more expensive units. I love my Hensel's. You will be very happy with this kit. I'm attaching two proof images taken with this kit.

[27 x 2 x 1.1"] I use this with a Profoto B1 strobe for location lighting. It is very light as you would expect from an umbrella. It opens and closes in seconds making it much more convenient to carry outdoors. The light is beautiful and soft if you keep it relatively close to the subject.

[Latch] I use this case for a basic lighting setup and camera. I was able to get two strobe heads, my canon 5d mark ii with a wide angle lens, 2 additional lenses, a magic clamp, light meter, extra battery, cf cards, some cords, and my battery charger in with a little room to spare. I did not expect to get so much in. For portraits I can carry this case and one for light stands. That's pretty awesome. It's a tough case, rolls really nicely, I love all the handles, and the latches work great. I really have nothing negative to say about it. It is heavy, but I'm rolling it 99% of the time.
