[1.81 lb] Less then $100 and I can transfer my home movies to disc as well as listen to Billy Joel on CD while doing stuff like this. I refuse to pay for streaming services as I am retired and no longer commuting. I use my S21 as a phone period. (needed 5g when my perfectly good 3g LG could no longer access the tower) I totally get that young people rarely use a cd player, but they are on the move and streaming works for them. This is in my desk top which is not really portable in the first place :) and I have LOTS of CD's dating back to Old Blue Eyes. Bottom line: It works as intended and less then $100. 5 |

[-100 dB] My Big Knob unit controls the output from a CD player for input to a 100 WPC amplifier. It is perfect for that application, where the full functions of a preamp, say, are not needed. Beautifully straightforward. 5 |

[4 MB] Hello, I have a 2022 M1 Mac Studio Max, so I attached this Pioneer to the Thunderbolt port in the back via a long usb-c to usb-c cable that allowed me to place it on my desk. Natively the M1 Mac will not recognise a Blu-Ray disc, so you have to download the free beta version of makemkv. Once installed load your Blu-Ray in the Pioneer and let makemkv recognise the disc, click on the disc icon and give it a minute, it will then allow you to review the contents, the rest is up to you. On the right side is a Make Mkv button. It works great in about 25 minutes you will have a digital version of your Blu-Ray. It makes a little noise but not bad. If Mkv is not your codec choice you can convert it with other Mac video apps. 5 |
