Plastic boxes scratch up so easy, these are a no brainer when it comes to protecting your investment as well keeping your customer happy with nice looking hear. The IRC covers are well made and have flaps for the handle positions.

[8 Ohms] Wood boxes retain more bass than plastic so thats a plus. The negative is that they are heavier. However the carpet boxes take more punishment than the plastic on the road and I have 4 of these and they look good after 3 years of abuse. I dont like passives because theres no amp but I got a light weight Crown XLS1502 to power them up and it weighs only 9 lbs so thats not bad. I never had a client tell me that theres too much high end but I had a client that wanted more bass but I dont own a bass cabinet. Overall they sound good, not spectacular and do the trick for most bands, wedding DJs and PA sound. Also they are cheap enough to ruin and easily buy another one.

[Yes] After keeping my slides in the little cardboard or plastic boxes I got them back in originally I needed a way to store them more permanently. Most of my slides are more than 50 years old and the original containers are crumpled and warped. I've digitized them all and now need a more permanent home for them. I have about 400 slices so I bought two of these. I managed to get 20-23 slides per small separator box so I still have room for the other slides I still need to digitize.

[2.3 oz / 66.5 g] I've been using this out in the shop for some time. From cardboard boxes to vinyl and plastic. This seems to be the only one I use. It just feels right! Strong and secure with one of the fastest blade changes I've used.

[6.9 lb] We bought some of these a few years ago when we started digitizing slides, and discovered we needed more as we progressed (slowly) through the slide carousels. I was glad to see that the boxes were still available, but I was concerned that the quality of the new boxes would not match the old boxes. Not so! These boxes are identical to the ones we bought 5 years ago, and the price is about the same. The plastic inserts seem a bit thinner, but they hold our slides well. I don't think we are getting 1500 in the box (as advertised), but I guess it all depends on whether the slide covers are plastic or cardboard. The only improvement I'd make to the box is to have some way to stack them. We are currently using storage box #8, and they can't be stacked on top of each other due to the handle on the top. This is a great product - takes up much less space than the 80+ carousels we had - and I highly recommend it.
