I like the version with plastic chains instead of metal, though both work the same.You will need the companion brackets on a solid wall or the ones that fit on a pole. For my three roll brackets I use a different color for each to make it easier to identify which backdrop you are raising or lowering.

[3 (A, B, C)] I've gotten other single shoe brackets (two of the same kind) and both had the same plastic parts break off (impact brand actually too) and it couldn't tighten enough to hold the weight of a speed-light tilted. This metal adjustable twin bracket makes more sense. I can increase the power with two speed-lights at once or just use one head. When I tilt the head it stays locked in place. Only used a few times but I'm very happy! I hope nothing breaks.
