[Nylon] I do a lot of rough-country hiking and photography. I use my cell phone a lot in this, for trip planning, GPS tracking, apps, etc. If I drop my phone, there is no telling where it might end up, and the predicament I would be in. A tether is critical for me, and this is the easiest and best way I have found for attaching a tether. It is brilliantly simple. 5 |

[Preamplifier] The Polsen XP-2 2-Channel Microphone Signal Booster is not something I realized I needed until I started using it. I am using it to boost the signal on my desk microphone and it's connected through my Senal USB adapter which provides the phantom power. It can add up to 25db of clean gain which is impressive. I didn't realize the difference this would make until I actually hooked it up and started using it daily. I no longer have to be right up on my microphone to get a reasonable signal output. The other application I tried this out with was some interviews I recently shot where the interview subject was soft-spoken. Being able to get that extra gain really came in handy. I like that the xlr has locking connectors and that this is plug-and-play. It's made of all metal and feels rugged so it should hold up to some punishment over time. It works great, now the only issue is I have to buy another to match my other setup. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review] 5 |

[0.32 lb] This Cell Phone Mount was bought for my Wife. She watches videos on her cell phone often and I thought this was a better idea than leaning her phone against a bottle of ketchup or loaf of bread. Combining this with a tiny foldable tripod gives her a compact stand for her cell phone and she now uses it almost daily. She seems to like it and it folds up to take very little space. The mount had a slight hangup when I first tried it out but seems to work fine now. The threads in the plastic parts are actually brass inserts that are moulded in place so they will probably hold up a lot longer than plain plastic would. The plastic is well moulded and seems to be pretty good quality. In theory, the mount will stand up without a tripod, but it isn't stable. 5 |
