[8.4 x 5 x 0.95"] Worked great for old monitor that didn't have HDMI input. Windows and Linux Mint compatible.

[3H] I am really happy with this monitor. I was reluctant to spend the money on it, but now am happy that I did. I use this monitor mostly for office work but also some photo editing. The large screen is really nice when you have multiple documents open and arranged so everything is visible. Photos are as clear and sharp as I have ever seen. I am connected to my on board video through a HDMI version 1.4b port. I was prepared to purchase a separate video card, but the monitor is working great without it. With the version 1.4b, the monitor is refreshing at only 29 Hz. but for my uses, I can't tell the difference. The buttons on the back of the panel are accessible for setup and out of the way for normal use. Some previous reviews mentioned that the monitor doesn't have speakers, but I can assure you that it does, and they sound good. It may be that the other users just didn't set up the audio to their input source. I plugged into the HDMI 1 connection and my Windows 10 system found it and loaded a generic driver without any input from me. I then downloaded the Viewsonic driver and installed it with no issues. I could not visually tell a difference between the generic and specific drivers. Overall, I would recommend this monitor to a friend.

[1x HDMI Male] This little monitor is a real boon for those who work with HDMI and SDI feeds, especially in a TV broadcast or film production environment. It also makes a great viewfinder for a DSLR and a handy little go-anywhere monitor for diverse uses, e.g. checking SDI outputs of satellite IRDs, chasing SDI at the tailboard of an OB truck or checking HDMI outputs for complex home entertainment systems or commercial installations. You pay a little more for the SDI input/output option, but if you work in professional broadcasting you must have it and for the money it's well worth it. The first pleasant surprise was the feel and heft of it. It has a metal chassis which feels just right and inspires confidence. The screen is viewable over a very wide angle, and all the various parameters such as safe-zones, peaking, vectorscope, display of audio levels, zebra, blue-screen etc should be enough to keep any demanding DP or director happy. The variety of DC input options is useful. Tolerating up to 18VDC input via the broadcast-standard 4-pin XLR socket, it can also use Sony F970-style batteries (my choice), Canon 5D batteries via the supplied battery mounting-plates, and (most usefully) the ubiquitous Anton-Bauer V-mount batteries via a special adapter-plate. Professional users will find these power-options especially handy. The supplied accessories are comprehensive and genuinely useful as well. The aluminium tilting-frame made for easy mounting on my DSLR cage-rig and the viewing-hood made use in bright sunlight a lot easier it just velcros into place. The clip-on battery mounting-plates make changing to a different style of battery a snack. The hot-shoe mount made it perfect for a DSLR video run and gun situation, or use on a stabilising-rig. This thing is versatile, and that's important when you're buying gear for daily use in different production-areas. This monitor deserves a place in the kit of any professional or semi-pro videographer or cinematographer.

[9.8' / 3 m] Can't complain much about this switch when it costs $12. Does that job as I use this on a 1080P monitor with only one HDMI input. I switch between a PC and chromecast and it works really well!

[IPS-Type LCD] I bought this screen (the 13.3 version) for a dual purpose - as an editing/reference monitor in my editing room (Adobe cc, da-Vinci resolve, unreal) and to use on-location connected to my sony FX6. So far - I'm very happy from the experience, especially when considering the very affordable price. pros: Image quality is good, brightness is enough for studio work (not sure for outdoors), connectivity is fair, almost no latency (their smaller F5 screen has quite a latency when inputting 4K signal that is being converted in-monitor); I've managed to get is to be relatively accurate color-wise, almost good enough to be used for professional color grading. HDMI input works great, and adapts to almost any format (4K, DCI, etc.) V-Lock battery option is great (haven't tested yet). I like the very simple stand which enables you to tilt it up/down slightly. cons: The screen is quite reflective; SDI is very strict as an input format and no conversion is offered by the monitor (the premiere timeline must be 1080P or lower, while HDMI input works perfectly. this poses an issue when trying to use SDI out to review 4K sources); Speakers are not good (but headphones from the monitor sounds ok). All in all, and hoping no issues will occur, I think it's a very worthwhile investment. Mercury playback on adobe cc does slow things down a bit, but latency with BlackMagic ultrastudio monitor and / or decklink and this monitor is almost unnoticeable. As for the SDI/HDMI issue - when connected to a camera you can set the camera to downscale, and in studio you should try to use HDMI when possible.

[Gold] I wanted it so that the cable does not apply large torque or other force on either the HDMI input of monitor or on the camera terminal which can mechanically damage the terminal. It meets those requirements without being too fragile. Price needs to be lower. Unduly expensive for a cable but otherwise OK. Also, it is not hyperthin but thin enough for the stated purpose.

[Gold Plated] Bought this to replace a previous version @ 2006 mac mini for a ninety + year old operator. Yes 90+ yr. old. The mac OS (operating system)has been a big part in why she learned and has continued to use the computer will few problems. Install TeamViewer (free) and you can remotely access it to help with any problems they may have. Even the newest OS (Yosemite) that came on the machine was not much different (a good thing)than her old OS (10.6). I guess the RAM chips are soldered down and you cannot replace them for a performance bump but it is not needed. Nice and quiet, it just works, out of the box.Don't forget this has an HDMI out for video so if you have a monitor that has DVI or non HDMI input make sure you order a cable to go from the mac mini (HDMI to what your monitor has for input)

[SDI] I needed a larger, yet portable monitor for use with video switching and streaming. The Shinobi 7 has both HDMI and SDI inputs, and looping outputs, and fits my needs perfectly. In particular, I need a good multi-view monitor, without the size and weight of rack-mounted components. The Shinobi runs a very long time on NP-F batteries, or an AC power supply.

[4.63 lb] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered this to use to connect a portable monitor to a long, thick hdmi cable. The long thick hdmi cable was too unwieldy to use with the portable monitor, but the hyper thin cable works perfectly.

[Yes] I like this switch over some others I have tried. If a PC is connected, the HDMI connection doesn't drop when you switch away from that input.
