[5 VDC at 2 A] As the owner of a large cassette tape collection, I had begun to despair of being able to listen to them any more. The tape decks of the 1990's are so old that the belts are starting to slip on most of them. When I found the Fiio CP13, I was thrilled. This tape player has no record function, so there is no chance of accidentally erasing a tape. The case is metal, and is very sturdy. The battery is built in, a lithium ion cell that lasts for a number of plays of 90 minute tapes. The output is through a 3.5 mm stereo miniature phone jack, for either headphones or a line-in cable. This is not an auto-reverse player, and there is no 'pause' function. The reproduction quality is superb, much better than any portable I have heard before. Flutter and wow are practically non-existent, and the music is sharp and clear. For any person who has cassette tapes which they wish to enjoy for years to come, I highly recommend this player.

[10%] I ordered this cassette player for my 93 year old mother. She made lots of recordings many years ago and her old player quit working. I was able to quickly show her how to use it and it is a good quality product with excellent sound from the speaker. It is fairly large for this kind of product by today's standards but the excellent sound warrants the size and makes it easier for my mom to use. I highly recommend.

[2.485 lb] Great device if you want to run multiple inputs (PC, record player, cassette player) through one set of speakers. Also delivered quickly.

[5 VDC at 2 A] Just amazing!! This is an exceptionally high quality cassette player, made from milled aluminum, and built to tight tolerance. Features? This is as barebones of a cassette player as you can get. No recording ability, no bass boost, no Dolby. What do you get though? Excellent battery life, USB-C charging, and GREAT audio quality. It's everything you need, and nothing you don't. How's the audio quality? FANTASTIC. As good as a real vintage Walkman that's in perfect condition, and far better than any other new portable cassette player being made today, far better than the We Are Rewind player. There's minimal motor noise, basically no WOW, and the playback speed is near perfect, no pitch shifting here! Is this really portable? It is a large tape player, as big as some of the earliest Walkman's. I'm able to use it in my back pocket without issue, but your mileage may vary. The player has no issue with playback while walking and hiking, and it works just as well sitting on your desk, as it does sideways in your pocket. It exceeds my own expectations in that regard. What's the catch? The only downsides to purchasing this over other alternatives, is how few features there are. There's no USB or Bluetooth audio, you MUST use the 3.5mm output. There's no recording ability. There's no support for Dolby noise reduction. There's no bass boost features. If you care about any of that (I personally don't!), then you're better off with a Sony WM-EX1 or WM-EX910. Nitpicks? I've already got some scratches in the aluminum case from abusing it (I am not gentle with it!), and rewinding is a bit slow. As for me? I'm in love, this is basically the perfect cassette player.

[3.2 lb] It felt like I just replaced the cassette player with the recordable CD player. I thought I was up to date until I learned about this great thumb drive or SD card recorder / player. I can record for up to 20 hours with one 8GB card!

[10.65 lb] I bought the A580 to fill a void when an old cassette deck broke. Tascam has a long history and a good reputation, but I didn't expect anything special. My initial impression of the sound quality is that both the CD player and cassette player are excellent. The cassette sound is more dynamic than with previous tape machines. It may be due to the lack of Dolby noise-reduction, but I don't detect any response anomalies, so I'm pleased.

[23 W (Maximum)] This is the unit I was looking for in a while, In still keep in good conditions many cassette's that I recorded many years ago. My old Pioneer player could not get repaired and many listed as used and in good condition in many websites were of no satisfaction. I decided to look for one that could transfer from one format to another. The sound is excellent and the unit looks amazing, If I were a Tascam Co. exec, I would design a unit that can have auto reverse / play on both sides. Just for the ones like me that value formats that are past of audio history. Thanks B & H for shipping this unit fast .

[Download] Perfect little cassette player for review of what's on that old cassette. If you like what you hear, plug in a USB storage stick and the unit will digitize the audio for high resolution long term storage or playback on a full stereo system. Large speaker has plenty of volume. Great value for the price.

[Single] I bought the Pyle cassette player, about a wall plug adapter. 40. It appears to be the same design as the GGI Gear player. I played 6 tapes, then it stopped sorking. Tried using it with a wall power adapter. No go. This player is junk. Disappointing that B&H promotes it with online advertising.
