Portrait Macro Lens

[Yes] I wasn't expecting outstanding results with this lens since it is M 4/3 and was relatively inexpensive but I was surprised. It is a great macro and portrait lens that I use on my G9. I would love to digitize my slides and negatives and I hope to try with this lens soon.

[f/16] I’ve enjoyed using this lens for macro photography but also general photography like some portrait shots. Love the manual controls, they’re real smooth with fairly precise motion. I also had some fun with the warerproof tube tip thing, mainly just because it was available but then I started getting creative with it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good m43 macro lens.

[0.14 lb] The multi-faceted capabilities of this prime make it an important lens in my kit. From macro to portrait, this lens can do a lot of heavy lifting. Highly recommend this for any Nikon Z owner.

[T2] This is a must have macro lens. And it is just that, a macro lens, although it can be used for general and portrait use as well. So I'm going to limit my comments to what it does well and not worry about things like the aperture ring which is a non-issue but freaks out some less experienced users. Sharpness is AMAZING (on both my FX and DX Nikon cameras). And the bokeh is simply beautiful. I could pretty much stop there as those are really the main issues when it comes to macro work. In fact, it is sharper and than my Nikon 105mm which is a very good lens. And I love the wider angle of view that 60mm gives you. The ability to get super close to an object (min focus distance) is why this works so well and the 2:1 magnification at close range is astounding. The focus ring is smooth and accurate. The lens bag is nice quality, an added bonus. It also came with a screw on filter which either I didn't notice when I read the specs or was just an added bonus. But for macro work, this is neither an issue or necessary. Nice to have though. Build quality on the lens seems really good, it is solid. And the price is incredible. Hard to believe that such a great lens could be had for this price. Bottom line, I love this lens. It performs amazingly well, the price is a bargain, the quality and build are fantastic and it is now my number 1, go to lens for macro. If macro is your thing, you should run to B&H and get one. BTW, I have shot a few portraits and it's darn good for that too, although I prefer an auto focus lens for portrait work.

[0.155 lb] I have been using this lens for a few weeks now, and it was purchased largely for product and macro work. This lens has quickly become my go to portrait and general event workhorse. Sigma's art line continues to impress me, provides for a beautiful bokeh, quick focus, and is solid in lens than great lighting. Would absolutely purchase this again.

[2.74 lb] Excellent choice for macro and portrait photography. It takes patience, manual focusing and a tripod to really pull all of the quality out of this lens. No lens I've used has surpassed this for image quality.

[0.25 lb] The lens gets amazing macro shoots! if you are looking for close ups or even portrait this lens is great quality for the money!

[Canon EF] I sues this both as a general purpose landscape, portrait and for macro subjects. �Even though it is not a purpose-built macro, it is fantastically sharp. Images are contrasty and sharpness carries all the way to the corners when stopped down a little. �The focusing ring has the ideal touch and feel. The only negative about this lens is really minor, the build quality is great - but it is pretty heavy. This has been the best addition to my lens range in several years.

[10] Has quickly become my favorite lens for the sony A7rIII. Great for macro, portrait and all the in betweens. Great 'old school' feel. I love it.
