Power Wheels 12 Volt Lead Acid Rechargeable Battery

[750 VA] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this running for a couple weeks now and couldn’t be happier. I’ve installed this quite easily in my wall rack and have to say I am very happy with it’s performance and solid build quality. It’s as plug and play as you’re going to get. I find myself often looking over to see that it running as it’s very quiet and the fan only turns on when the load get’s to a certain levelEven then I just don’t hear it. Seems to be very efficient with low heat. This unit also has the lithium-ion battery and seems to weigh less than half the weight (just over 30lbs) of my older lead acid battery unit and smaller in overall size. In the long run I feel it’s going to be much more cost effective replacing the lithium-ion battery over time as they’re just getting cheaper and last longer than the older lead acid batteries. From an aesthetics point of view, I feel the unit is nicely designed and appealing. The multi-function LCD is easy to use and view various in-depth metrics. If you’re in the market looking for a smart ups or to replace a older lead acid unit then I highly recommend the APC smart-ups. Good quality brand and dependability.

[0.325 lb] I power my Ikan 502 with a 12 volt drycell for long video taping at locations where power isn't available.

[18 AWG] I was looking for a 12 volt power adapter with a long power cable. The Bescor power adapter has a wall wart power adapter with a 6 foot cable to the DC power end. I wanted to operate my AndyCine monitor on my camera and plug the power adapter in at the floor because it is difficult to have to mount it on the tripod so it isn't dangling. This adapter is perfect for my needs. I'm glad I found it at B&H.

[120 dB] I used the supply to power 2 G4 style LED under counter lamps. They are 12-volt LEDs that I wired in parallel and each use 240mA so the 500mA rating of this PS was perfect.

[8.65 x 4.4 x 1"] I'm a big fan of rechargeable batteries. Saves a ton of money in the long run. This charger and battery combo is perfect. I love the big LCD display. It lets you know the status of the battery and charging levels which is very helpful. I've had other chargers in the past that would just blink, or give a red/green light. Having a descriptive display is so much better, as you can gauge how much power is left or how much more needs to charge for the batteries to be ready. This is vital. It can also discharge the battery to refresh them. This is also a very handy feature to extend the life of the rechargeable batteries. It will not only charge AA but AAA batteries and I plan to get some AAA's to partner with the AA's that came with this. The batteries themselves work great and last a long time.
