[Yes] We replaced my wife's old PowerShot SD1200 IS with this camera. I am a 'semi-pro' photographer often called on by various volunteer and church groups to take pictures. I therefore have higher-end (and very reliable) Canon equipment, meaning my wife only takes photos in my absence. She uses the Power Shot on these occasions instead of her phone because of the quality of the pictures with the ease of (occasional) use. She (and I) could not be better pleased.

[White] Very nice compact camera at a reasonable price. Replaced my venerable but aging PowerShot G15. Highly acceptable interior/low-light still imagery for travel without the weight, bulk and expense of a DSLR + f1.8 zoom lens. An optical viewfinder would be nice for bright outdoors, but not worth the extra cost and futzing for me.

[Black] This is the perfect sized belt pouch for the Canon PowerShot SX740HS camera. Easy to slip in and out; and, the front pouch has plenty of room for a spare memory card and battery.

[Canon NB-12L] I purchased off-brand replacement batteries at half the price of the Canon ones for my PowerShot Canon camera. That was a mistake. They may be half the price, but those batteries don't last even half as long as the Canon ones. I am happy to have two new replacement Canon batteries at the ready now.
