[0.715 lb] Works as advertised! It's responsive and easy to use. My only minor complaint is the flashing blue light which can be a little annoying in a dark venue But, I realize there has to be some way to know that it's on 5 |

[Fabric] I use the Octa2 dish as a primary modifer with my Quadra. Since I was planning a trip that would be speedlight only, I thought about just buying the bracket but the cost of the OB2 Pro Kit was reasonable enough that I just bought a whole unit. Used it earlier on a test shoot -- same creamy light (I used the diffuser) with an SB900 that I get with the Quadra. I'm not sure if there's a better combination of portability, durability and light quality for a speedlight. 5 |

[6.6 lb] LOVE this modifier as the main light for the Quadra set in the studio! THANK YOU BH Photo! 5 |

[1-Stop] This is the second umbrella I have purchased for my Quadra system. The light weight and simple setup (including the ability to fit directly on the Quadra heads) makes them ideal for portable setups. So far no problem with wear and tear, but umbrellas are especially vulnerable to wind gusts so they need to be handled carefully. 5 |

[2.4 lb] Slowly switching over to the Westcott Rapid Box Switch Softboxes. I bought Speedlight and Elinchrom Quadra Flash Heads adapters for two of Westcott Softboxes. Not quite as easy to switch mostly due to my fingers are getting old, but each adapter is well built and fits the light its was made for. The speed light adapter works for both my Canon and Quantum flashes. Makes setup time for portable studio much faster with my Elinchrom Quadra Flash Heads. Shooting in a breeze by the ocean was. Everything felt secure and performed quite well, on a mono pod that was easy for my assistant to move as directed. Only got a few shots with the light in frame as we moved for the next shot. There is a thumb screw to adjust how easy the softbox is to spin on the adapter and you can easily lock it down. One set of Softboxes that can pop open and fit securely to whichever flash I need to use for a given situation. No More "Speedrings" adapters and building softboxes that take so long to setup, well they will just stay at home assembled. 5 |

[ 45 Hours] This flashing is amazing. The variable light settings to the strobe. No concerns on purchasing the light at all. I would love to give one to every person in my family. BUY IT YOU'LL LOVE IT!!!! 5 |

[Rectangle] I own or have owned every light known to man. (ok, slight exaggeration). I currently have the Gemini Soft, Gemini Hard. and Kino Freestyle LEDs of a variety of sizes. Never mind Apurtures and Nanlites plus a few of them lightweight flexible led panels. But when I need a fast and simple setup, I always got back to these Astra Softs. And when I look at the image, I wonder why I went and bought all those other expensive fixtures. Just today I shot a multicamera interview for ABC's new show Impact with the U.S Attorney investigating the Matthew Perry case and because going thru security was so complicated and time was of essence, I chose to bring these lights instead. I loved the picture to much I wondered to myself why I keep buying these way more expensive fancy lights. And the beauty of these is that I can fly them with a micro 150 battery and because I rarely have to turn them up all the way, they will last the length of some of these long interviews no problem. I did notice on this thread some folks complaining about these lights failing them, and have heard similar complaints from other Astras too. I have never had any issues with these or my other Astras, but that's likely because I read the instructions that clearly state you should dim the lights all the way down before you turn them on, wait until the flashing green light stops flashing, and then dim up at your heart's desire. And always before I turn them off, I dim them down all the way, as not to forget. That might be the secret. I see people using them wrong all over the place. 5 |

[Lead-Acid] I bought this a month ago when the battery died (I unfortunately did not notice the low battery flashing light indicator). The replacement battery arrived very promptly, was easy to install, and my backup is operational again — and just in time because a tornado hit here a few days later and I lost power for 8 hours. 5 |

[1000D Cordura] Great size, love the built in light (it has flashing mode for some reason, just if you need to give someone a seizure on a film set?) I have always wanted this Porta Brace bag but kept talking myself out of it. I finally pulled the trigger on buying one and I'm glad I did. Sometimes I have a small lens in it if i am shooting an event with a smaller camera, but on a full set I kit it out with all the tools I'll need. for camera department. If you are on the fence about it, do it. 5 |
