[Aluminum] Great little NVMe enclosure! Lets you run up to four (4) NVMe M.2 drives in a raid configuration. Very fast thunderbolt enclosure for a good price!

[6.5 lb] I was researching external hard drive storage for my picture and video files. I have a baby boy and need to take a lot of video :) I researched G-drives after a family recommendation and this drive is great! The price per TB is very good, along with the quality of construction, convinced me to pull the trigger and try it out. This is not a portable unit and it is louder than my Lacie and WD external drives, but very fast and looks good on the desk. Don't let the loud statement prevent you from a purchase, because it isn't annoyingly loud. By the way, you can configure raid 1 or 0, but raid 1 gave me 2.2 TB of usable storage.

[2x 3.5"
] This is a very solid external RAID array. The hard drives install easily and were immediately recognized by the unit. Instructions are clear, and the manufacture has released a new application which makes setup and management very clear. You still have the option for the web-based GUI interface (which actually has more advanced options available). I heard that fan noise was an issue in these units. The fan does have a temporary (15-30sec) startup at full speed, but then it quiets down quite nicely. I have the 6 bay unit, which only has one fan, so this may also be contributing to a lower overall fan noise. (That, and I have NAS drives which I selected specifically for a lower overall operating temperature.). Overall very solid build, good speeds via the Thunderbolt 3 port, and easy interface -- a technological "hat trick."

[160 TB] I'm a video editor for many years and storage has become an issue. The hard drives keep piling up. I invest in this G-RAID system and it's a wonderful drive it is very fast, transferring 770GB in 23 minutes. I tested it by editing a variety of codecs and file sizes and it holds up.I recommend this for video editors and photographers.

[Aluminum] I bought this enclosure to install 2 2-TB WD Red hard drives in a RAID 1 setup for ripping CDs to. Appears to be be very well-made and HD installation was easy. Still trying to figure out how to install it in my NAIM STAR all-in-one player system, but i am sure it will work out.

[300 W] A great way to transfer images various media to bare hard drives. Transfer to and from NAS or RAID drives easily. Very good value for money.

[4.83 lb] Love the board just had a tough time setting up the hard drives. Set a RAID and had some problems loading drivers. Yes your tutorial helps but I am a geek by trade as a database engineer so it was easier for me to resolve.
