[Version 3.0] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my Sony dvd/Blu-ray player about a week ago, it is awesome and compatible with my smart television which is great and comes with a Netflix feature which I love. I would definitely recommend this product to my family and friends, it’s not bulky and has a sleek design which is aesthetically pleasing.

[NTSC] Plays all movie DVD's: Blu-Ray, store-bought formats.

[Yes] The product seems to be of high quality. I've tested reading both DVD and Blu-ray without any issues.

[Acetate] There are your typical paper CD/DVD/Blu-Ray envelopes to keep your disks protected. They do that. What more can you say.

[4.015 lb] The external DVD/Blu-Ray Burner was larger than I expected. But it has to be wide enough to fit a disc inside, so I think its fine. It works well, as expected. So far, I've only burned DVDs with it, but I expect it will do just fine with Blu-Ray. It comes with software for backing up data/pictures/videos, etc. I'm looking forward to using M-Disc to archive pictures and videos. It's supposed to last for hundreds of years if the physical disc is not severely damaged.

[55 VA] I wanted to add an extra DVD and add Blu-ray capability to my HP Pavilion Elite desktop computer. The LG was priced well and I have several other LG products at home and like them a great deal. Installation was far easier then expected. Removing side and front covers was the matter of one thump screw and the case was open. Remove the disposable covering plate on the secondary DVD space and the LG simply slid into the slot. HP uses a pin system that secures the DVD so I didn't even need the included screws. The provided extensions for power and SATA data cable hooked up easily and quickly. Closed up the case, installed the included Cyberlink software and I was watching a Blu-ray disk within seconds. The drive has been in heavy use now for about a week and could not be happier. The B&H price was easily the best of all the stores I checked and all in all a great buy.

[Yes] I researched this item and purchased it for the purpose of DVD and Blu-ray burning. The unit arrived on time and is working as expected. It can write double layer Blu-ray and DVD disks. I use it on an HP laptop with an internal DVD burner to reduce the time to re-produce  BR,DVD/DVD-DL, or CD disks. I would recommend this LG burner for its speed and functions, not so much for its price. Over all very satisfied.

[4.015 lb] I bought this a couple of months ago to add Blu Ray/DVD ability to my computer. There is no room for an internal device, so I bought this external one. Let me say that this drive has exceeded all of my expectations with it's speed and quality. Best thing is that I can use it with both my PC and Mac. I burn a lot of sports DVD's and like to back up my computers also. Highly recommend this burner.

[LAN] I am very pleased with this projector. Projecting onto a 10' screen from a Blu-Ray player, regular DVD's look very good and Blu Ray looks excellent. 720P is definitely good enough for me. I think the uprezing of regular DVD's from my Sony BDP-S570 Blu Ray player improves the contrast and look of regular DVD's. I am super impressed watching regular DVD's this way although of course on analysis they do look softer than Blu-Ray discs. Black levels are not super black but are fine. In regular viewing I do not notice any DLP issues. If I scan my head back an forth really quickly I notice a bit of rainbow effect, but seriously who does that when they are watching a movie? I just did it out of curiosity! Projector is small, light and I see the lamps are comparatively cheap. This for me makes a difference as I do not have to think of the cost of running the projector when lamp replacement is half the cost of some other projectors. I am using the lamp on economy/long life mode and it is plenty bright. Fan is audible but not distracting once the movie is playing. The one issue that should be considered is placement. With only a 1.05x lens finding a suitable place to mount the projector and a suitable screen size and placement took a fair amount of thought. I would say the image quality is higher sending it a 720P image from the Blu Ray player compared to a 1080P image and letting the projector downrez. Also the projector switches from different resolutions with no visible hiccups when this method is chosen. Bottom line - for the modest cost this is an excellent budget projector. Rating reflects that. It surpassed my expectations.
