[2.2 lb / 1 kg] Due to some arthritis, it is easier for me to take my camera backpack off in a certain way. It always ends up face down on the ground, so the rear opening of the Shimoda bags is perfect for me. The insert is necessary for this bag but so worth it. I use the small core unit for my Sony G 100-400mm lens. It keeps the lens secure in its place.

[0.11 lb] Inexpensive accessory that all photographers must have. It's always clipped to my backpack and comes in handy when changing plates, opening a refreshment or tightening a tripod leg!

I have had this backpack for almost a year and have brought it on trips to Costa Rica, Mexico, Guatemala, and all over the US so far. The backpack has held up great through visits to the beach, walks in the drizzle, bumpy bus rides, long walks around cities and everything in between. I love the safe computer case for bringing my laptop with me and the hip and shoulder straps make it easy to adjust the carrying style to the weight and length of the walk. Before buying I had read some concerns about the zipper durability but have experienced no issues on this front, and the main zippers still glide as smooth as they did when brand new. I did lose the two very handy external carry-straps at the airport, and wish there was a more secure way to hold these to the bag, but it was easy to replace them through the PeakDesign website. Sometimes the location of the main opening vs the front pouch can make it a little awkward to access items without flipping the bag over, but I believe this would happen with any suitcase style opening backpack. Size-wise, the backpack is excellent. I have more than enough space inside for what I need, and plenty of options to ties onto the outside if needed (fishing rod, ukelele, jackets, wet clothes, dirty soccer cleats, etc.). All in all, very happy with the backpack. I recommend it to each of my friends looking for a single travel bag

[18 x 12.6 x 7"] I really like this backpack for carrying a few extra lenses with me. It is well padded and with a few adjustments it is easy to get to my lenses and accessories. Having the opening to the back did not work for me so I rotated the pack at the bottom to face upward so that I can open the top and grab what I need.

[0.755 lb] I love that you can get at the flathead without opening up the whole thing. For camera people, it's worth it for that alone.

[1x RJ45 Input] This unit is an addition for my existing unit, I still have an opening for another camera, for the other area we would monitor.
