Ricoh Gr Iii Digital Camera Review

[f/2.8] I bought the Ricoh GR iii to have a decent, small street and travel camera. I'm getting too old to carry around a heavy full-framer. The RIcoh takes excellent pictures and is reasonably easy to use, though you have to practice its different modes to get a feel for it. It's major fault for me is that on a sunny day, with sunglasses, the screen is very hard to see, even with the display pumped up to its brightest level. Nonetheless, with the 28mm lens and the APSC sensor, you'll get your picture most of the time with a little cropping. On a car trip I still plan to use my full frame Nikon Z6, but for most travel or just wandering around, the GR iii can't be beat.

[1x Hot Shoe ] first of all i am just an amateur. Ive been using the fujifilm x 100f but since having the ricoh gr iii in my hands i am definitely taking more pictures than ever. Compared with the ricoh gr iii i think this camera is even better and maybe easier to use. The resolution looks even better. I think this camera might work as a portrait camera and i am very happy with it. If a new ricoh gr Iv comes out i think i would have it as well.

[0.195 lb] I bought it to carry around my Ricoh GR III alongside the LightPix Q20II flash. They're both light and and fit easily on this bag. I carry the spare bateries on the front pocket where the moment lenses were intended to go. It can also fit my phone and my wallet if needed. I use the Moment MTW as a sling when I'm out and about town for everyday use. When I'm on vacation, I use it as a fanny pack, to have quick access to my Ricoh for street photography and carry my passport. This gives me the flexibility to carry a backpack with my other, bigger photography gear on my back.

[0.03 lb] Perfect for the Ricoh GR III at an affordable price. The three petals open and close automatically when turning the camera on/off. While closed it protects the lens from dust and shocks. Prevents glares and excess of light from hitting the lens while open. For my Leica D-Lux 7 I have a very similar automatic lens protector which is 2 1/2 times more expensive.

[LED] So far so good. Same battery that comes with the Ricoh GR-III, so it’s the same performance. The cost is very reasonable given it’s a genuine Ricoh labeled battery and not an off brand. Also, if you’re looking for a compact wall charger, this battery will charge with a Watson Compact AC/DC charger for the Olympus LI-90B battery. I read they were the same battery so I trekked the charger and it’s working for me.
