[f/16] I took a chance and purchased the Ricoh GR iiix urban hoping to regenerize my interest in photography. I'm still getting used to the menu's and settings. So far, so good. Love the fast startup, snap focus and one hand shooting, but still deciding on my final set up and/or goto presets. And, even though it's early, I'm pretty darn excited about where this camera will take me.

[1:1, 3:2] I am quite happy with my Ricoh GR IIIx. I bring it with me everywhere. I have set up film simulations I enjoy. Lens quality feels like a step down from my FujiFilm X100V but it doesn't really matter because I bring it everywhere. Thought I would enjoy the HDF filter, but rarely use it.

[1.42 lb] After much research, I decided to purchase the GR IIIx in order to have a very capable yet discreet and compact camera for street photography. I am still learning how to use its many functions, but I have already put it to the test and love the results. The control buttons are small but easy to use. There are multiple focusing and metering options, and so many more technical choices in the menus. Resolution is fantastic. I suspect my love for this camera to grow even more as I explore all its capabilities.

In case you may not know, Ricoh's newest GR II camera does not come with a charger for its batteries, favoring instead direct USB-to-camera charging via an included, although very short, proprietary USB cable. While this is a useful feature in case you need it, it's just not feasible for charging any spare batteries when you're traveling. This charger is great, it's very small and compact, and very lightweight. It is $40 cheaper than Ricoh's OEM BJ-6 battery charger, and it's actually better too. I recently brought this to Japan with me, and right out of the box it's compatible with 100-240V 50-60Hz power grids. There's no need to flip any switches for different countries, just plug it in and go. Ricoh's OEM battery charger advertises that it takes 2 hours to fully charge a depleted battery. While I was in Japan, a fully depleted battery only took 1 hour to fully charge. In addition, even while you're charging a battery, there is a powered USB port that you can use to charge another USB device simultaneously. It's a very handy and thoughtful feature; I left my iPhone charger back home and only needed to rely on this. This charger can accommodate other optional faceplates for other battery models, many of which you can buy separately here at B&H. With this charger, together with my Ricoh GR II, I love that my entire pro camera setup weighs less than a pound. This is a must-buy for any Ricoh GR user, especially for travelers!

[f/2.8] I bought the Ricoh GR iii to have a decent, small street and travel camera. I'm getting too old to carry around a heavy full-framer. The RIcoh takes excellent pictures and is reasonably easy to use, though you have to practice its different modes to get a feel for it. It's major fault for me is that on a sunny day, with sunglasses, the screen is very hard to see, even with the display pumped up to its brightest level. Nonetheless, with the 28mm lens and the APSC sensor, you'll get your picture most of the time with a little cropping. On a car trip I still plan to use my full frame Nikon Z6, but for most travel or just wandering around, the GR iii can't be beat.
