Rode Ntg 1 Shotgun Condenser Microphone

[Supercardioid] I can't say enough about the Rode NTG-3 Shotgun mike... If I was to recommend a shotgun mike for industrial use such as the type of work i do, I would not even hesitate to suggest this mike as your primary choice...Period!!

[Black] I mount the NTG 4+ to a Rode Mount on the from pod of the XF605 as an alternative to the supplied Canon Shotgun mount ( Because ) the Canon mount is semi permanent and sticks out to far too the side and prevents it from fitting in many bags. As an added Bonus there Rode Mount has much better Suspension

[0.05 lb] I love to record using both a shotgun Rode VideoMic NTG and a Rode Wireless Go II lavaliere ... need this to split recordings onto separate channels.

[Mono] In my opinion best shotgun microphone I worked with. Sharp sound! I owe a NTG 1 which I paid almos twice the price which catches the the sound of the subject and also the background sound. This makes it sometimes almost unusable audio. With the AT875R you catch the sound you want. I use it on my BMPC run & gun. The detail sound i record separately with my camera then edit all together and BANG!!

[Cardioid] I switch to this microphone for my YouTube recordings from a Rode NTG-2 and I am very pleased with the results. I use an audient iD14 for my audio interface. The preamps in the audient work really well at getting levels perfect. I also have used it with my ZoomH4n, powering the XLR off a plugged in Zoom and it is acceptable, with a little more work in post.

[Phantom Power] This is really a terrific microphone. Solidly built, good side rejection and a snap to use, it is my go-to shotgun for a lot of the film work I do. The price is excellent for the quality sound it delivers. And Rode stands by its gear. This is my second Rode shotgun and I expect I'll be using this well past the decade warranty.
