[Yes] I use it to plug a shotgun mic with my camera and into the Rode Wireless Go, works perfectly.

[1.8 lb] This is my first pro level shotgun that replaced my Rode VideoMic. I filming largely dog agility sports indoor as well as outdoor. Although shotgun are not really directional by design, NTG 3 serve my purpose very well up to 150 feet away from my subject. Buy a Rode Blimp for $ is a now brainer for someone waiting to invest in a good shotgun. Do it now. When my Blimp was delivered, its design, easy of use blew me away. I wonder how Rode make money for that price.... I will be testing NTG3 with its Blimp when weather is kind.

[Battery] Better sound quality than my old shotgun or the older generation rode videomic pro. Changes to shockmount and rechargeable battery (that indicates how much charge it has left) are great.

[0.7 lb] I bought this to shoot my video guitar lessons outdoors using my Sennheiser shotgun mic. On my first outing the audio turned out perfectly even with the wind. I believe this is pretty much the same product that Rode markets under their own brand. I liked the fact that the hand grip comes with a built in mic stand mount. I don't think this is true of the Rode. I believe you have to buy and adapter with that one. This was a big factor for me in choosing the Rycote.

[Mono] Had a beginner RODE shotgun mic. Is still working well and heard the sound quality was an upgrade. Never had an issue with the companies products and the cost from the beginner model to this isn't that bad. I use this for videos on my YouTube channel (mcgolf) when the situation required it. It is now a partner to the wireless go system and sound coming from them both is very similar, clear, within the range I prefer and I don clip. well done RODE.

[Side Address] Easily and perfectly fits to my Rode Shotgun Mic. Does a great job helping filter out wind.

[3D-Tex] I have a Rode Video Mic and a Sennheiser ME66 short shotgun mic. The BP4029 (AT835ST) is better than both of these mics put together... and then some. Why? Because it can be a mono short shotgun that is VERY loud and focused for its size (just a little longer than the Rode and much shorter than the ME66/K6). It is also a narrow and wide stereo mic AND it is also an M+S matrixed mic that can be easily separated into three channels (Middle and Left and Right) in post production audio editing software. Even with my handy Zoom H4N I can exploit mono, stereo and M+S recording with ease. M+S Matrixing allows you to balance a crowd in loud room with a single voice or a bird's chirping in a tree beside a babbling brook. If you shot with a DSLR and like to travel light, get this and a Zoom H4N - You'll be VERY happy!

[Black] Does exactly what it is suppose to do. Our organization's marketing and outreach department had a RODE shotgun mic and then recently added the Rode Wireless GO II Microphone System to our kit. The mount allows us to use both.
