[Autofocus] This review is for the Rokinon AF 14mm f/2.8 Lens for Nikon F attached to an FTZ adapter on a Nikon Z 7II camera. The auto focus worked well when I tested it and I used manual focus for my landscape and Milky Way photography. Attached are the two Milky Way photos that I took recently using f/2.8, ISO 6400 and 25 sec exposure with a tripod (no star tracker). Both photos were post processed the same way to bring out colors, shadow, highlight, etc. without other editing. Overall, I am happy with the Rokinon AF 14mm f/2.8 Lens for Nikon F on the Nikon Z 7II with the FTZ adapter for landscape and Milky Way photography. 5 |

[Manual Focus] The Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 has high resolution even wide open and is very sharp corner to corner by f/4.5. Color rendition is well balanced and provides excellent contrast. It's solid and feels like a quality lens in every way. The review stating it will not work on a R series camera is obviously in not correct. I've used this lens on a R, RP and R5 with absolutely no issues. The electronic aperture control works and the camera recognizes the lens settings You do, of course need to set the camera to release shutter with no lens to allow operation with any non-Canon manual lens. The only minor negative is that you can't easily attach a filter to the front of the lens. The include, attache lens hood does provide some minimal protection to the lens however. 5 |

[f/2.8] I bought the Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 for a photo workshop in Utah and it didn't disappoint. I was able to capture Milky Way images and some landscape panoramas. Can't beat the price, even though the lens seems to be built like a tank. The focus lock feature comes in handy particularly during astrophotography. 5 |

[14mm] This is of course a much more expensive lens than the well known Rokinon/Samyang 14mm 2.8. I'm impressed with the clarity and build so far. We'll see how it holds up. 5 |

[Manual Focus] I have been using Rokinon lenses for astrophotography for years and have come to expect great things out of them. Whether it is the 14mm or the 24mm I am using I don't want to end up with something I can't use at the end of a session. After moving to the new Z6 I continued using my old Rokinons and they worked just fine. But I decided I wanted to have a Z mount Rokinon and do away with the convertor. The only complaint I have is the lens is heavy. But the pictures are fantastic! 5 |

[0.665 lb] Having a crop sensor camera, using the Rokinon 14mm is great for waterfall photos since I can get real close to my subject. However, not having a polarizer, the photos were never as good as I wanted them. Now I can get remove the glare and really start to enjoy the lens. Just remember, if you use this filter to darken a blue sky on a 14mm lens without clouds, the sky will look terrible but this is not what this polarizer and lens combo is for. 5 |

[Autofocus] At 14mm with the price I think Rokinon is the best. I use this lense for pictures and for my gimbal with 5dm4. I get good stuff for my clientele. 5 |

[0.065 lb] Fits perfectly on my Rokinon 14mm lens with no problems The Rokinon 14 has a non removable lens shade that is attached to the lens and a large hard lens cap that won't fit in my pocket so this soft hood cover is perfect 5 |

[Glass] Fine quality. Nice and large to cover range of lens sizes. I use it with my Rokinon 14mm and use the Lee SW Mark Li holder. 5 |

[APS-C] Once I got my MKIII my 40D just gathered dust, until that is I picked on a whim a Rokinon 8mm on sale from B&H. I actually bought two 8mm Rokinons (one, the only one in 40 years of shooting took a dive - forget trying to get it repaired, think paper weight) I liked it so much I picked up a additional used 40D for pennies as a knockaround for Car Shows and left the 5D MKIII safely in the studio . . . . So when I saw the 14mm again on sale at B&H it was simply a no brainer. The 14mm is equivalent to 22.4mm on a crop sensor, the 14mm is made for full frame cameras. f/2.8 and manual focus and no chip which is why the price is so good and shouldn't be an issue to any Photographer worth his/her salt. *** Tip - simply put it at a focal length of 3 feet, f/8.0 and every thing is in focus. I dig it, not bad at f/2.8 and tack sharp f/8.0 and up with no vignette. The Samyang brand (Korea) Rokinon and Bower are all the same, the barrel is metal not plastic and feels solid, for the money and the images it can produce it's a steal, I have no cons other than a hood that Samyang makes for it ( SFH-14 /150mm filter) is impossible for me to find. Also keep in mind a replacement lens cap runs $40 to replace. A lens that was just one to use for fun has turn into another little side business (Car Shows), who knew? . . . . Thank you B&H for another gem and I hope this this is of some help, Cheers 5 |
