[1.72 lb] This converter did everything we hoped it would do. It takes HDMI video/audio, that is not DHCP protected, and converts it to HDSDI with embedded audio. The installation is a breeze and the unit can be installed and operational in less than 30 minutes. Remember - your source material cannot be HDCP protected!

[1x HDMI (2.0)] We use several of these to take output from 4k video cameras using the HDMI output into this Blackmagic converter to SDI to input into the video control board.

[Analog] The converter has allowed me to continue using some of my older, non-HDMI video/audio equipment to be used with a 4K TV that has only HDMI inputs. The picture looks very good using the Kanex unit.

[0.7 lb / 0.3 kg] I recently discovered a workaround for the three HDMI inputs that quit working on my Vizio TV. They stopped working over a year ago. I saw a YouTube video that showed how to use the VGA input on the TV to make HD video available to me once again. Using this product, along with an HDMI switcher I already owned, a short VGA cable, and a short stereo 1/8 audio cable HD video is once again available to me. The DVR and Blu-ray player plug in to switcher. The converter plugs into the output of the switcher. The short VGA goes between the converter and the TV. The short audio cable connects to the converter and the TV. Simple as that and it worked on the first try.
