Samsung 42 Inch Plasma Television

[1 User] Had three old Panasonic 65 inch plasma TV's donated to an organization I volunteer for. There were two problems: - Weight of the TV was about 180 pounds - The TV had a mounting hole pattern that is no longer supported This bracket fit the needs and worked perfectly. Attached to drywall with steel studs, used the accessory mounting kit. Bracket and mounting was very secure and supported the TV's perfectly. I could have purchased these brackets directly from the manufacturer but they were more expensive that way.

[75"] I had a 64 Samsung plasma TV since 2013, and apparently the power supply went out, because suddenly there was no picture. So I started reviewing the various options. I didn't want a smart TV again because I didn't really see the need for one. I do all of the streaming that I need with my Roku Ultra. All that I really wanted was a monitor which would receive the video signal from my Yamaha receiver. No microphones. No cameras. No monitoring of my viewing habits by my TV (of course I know that the streaming companies do this). I did some research and found a suggestion for a commercial TV to fulfill this purpose. I looked around and found the LG 340C 65 TV. It's just what I needed. Great picture, and built to last for years and years.

I just switched up how I light single and double talent interviews this year.  I already had a Chimera 42 inch X 42 inch frame on hand so I ordered a Chimera 5142 1/2 Grid Cloth as the first layer of diffusion on my old school ARRI Fresnel key light.  Just in front of that I hang a Chimera 5162 72 inch X 72 inch 1/2 Grid Cloth for additional softening.  With a Matthews 4 foot X 4 foot Black Floppy for negative fill, I then add a single back light positioned and flagged for rim and shoulders.  Great results for interviews.  Chimera has a great crew and offers stellar customer service.  Really stoked about this new set up.

[Black] This 65-inch umbrella is my next step up from a 42-inch octabox. Wow, it is a big step! I love the soft light it generates when combined with a single front diffuser. I use a Godox AD-200 with the bare bulb attached. Plenty of power for portraits at f5.6 and lower (using native ISO and minimal shutter speeds). Lightweight and decent build quality, but only for use inside, as the slightest breeze will take down large umbrellas. Everyone is awed at the large size, yet it breaks down into a compact unit for storage.

[Landscape] I got this for a table which wasn't wide enough for the legs on my Samsung 42. It is heavy and solid in a good way. Easy to setup. Couldn't be happier.

[Yes] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We decided to update our 42" Samsung with a new TV. However, the update was going to require a major remodel of our existing shelving unit which held our 42". After meeting with an expert trim carpenter, we decided that we could expand the shelving to accommodate a 65" TV. We have been loyal Samsung customers for many years but were really not familiar with the new technology. After much research, we chose a 65" OLED based on picture quality, a non-glare screen and Samsung reliability and quality. We couldn't be happier with the OLED. We can now read small text on the screen without pausing the picture and walking up closer to the TV. Thank you Samsung for a great product.
