Samsung Cd Drive For Laptops

[0.75 lb] So many laptops no longer come equipped with a CD-ROM tray, which is so disappointing. This external drive was exactly what I needed for those instances where I need to play or burn a CD or DVD. The price was perfect for me and I am more than satisfied with this unit!

[0.965 lb] Needed a DVD drive as new laptops did not have one. This drive has all the features we needed and looks good too!

[Digital-S (D-9)] My company restricts USB drives from our laptops. But I'm old-school and like to have a local backup of my work in case my work computer dies and I can't access my files for a few days while I wait for a replacement or repair. It's sadly happened before so I know from experience. And since I work with videos (4-6GB per file, they are too big to email, and I don't want to send them to an unsecured site (Google Drive, etc.) I needed a local solution. I am not particularly technical (and I'm in my 60's) so I was hesitant to explore NAS solutions. But this is perfect. Don't forget to buy a hard drive as this is only the enclosure and internet connection. I bought a 2TB WD Red drive. I had the whole thing up and running in under 30 minutes. I use Backup4All software on my Windows 11 laptop and it backs up seamlessly. I could not be happier. I highly recommend.

[0.04 lb] This little flash drive has everything going for it - ample GB, small footprint (perfect for laptops with tight USB ports) and solid construction. Just put it on a lanyard or a key chain when not connected to prevent it being lost.

[Jmicron-JM20330] We use this in our IT dept as we have many legacy laptops and PC's with various HDD connections. This product has always worked provided the drive is actually working mechanically. I've never actually been compelled to write a review before but this adapter is great. We have 2 of them now and will no doubt try the USB 3.0 one at some point.

[0.39 lb] My laptops hard drive died after several years of use, and I replaced it with the exact same drive, I could not get Windows 10 reloaded, something wrong with the image disk I made when the computer was new, so i just downloaded Ubuntu and burned a install DVD disk, and it fired right up and has been working like a Champ.

[2400 TB] I replaced a standard hard drive in one of my laptops with this drive and noticed an immediate improvement not only in boot speed but also overall performance. Samsung SSDs are highly rated and I would recommend them to anyone wanting to boost the performance of their machine.

[Yes] Many laptops today are design without a optical drive, and I just recently purchased one. I wanted a drive that would do all the things I previously had access to do, and the Asus BW-161x was the winner hands down. There's nothing I could imagine to do that this drive could not do. Asus products have always stand up to my use, which was a big plus.

[USB-A 2.0] most, if not all, new laptops don't come with a dvd drive anymore so you're on your own if you need to view media on discs. this portable dvdrw drive from asus is extremely lightweight and about the size/dimensions of a music cd case, so you can easily fit it inside any backpack or computer case. regarding the functionality, i've been using it for over a month now and it hasn't had a single issue. easy to setup with the included wire and can be up and running within a minute or two. i'd highly recommend this drive, especially at this sub-$30 price point
