[22] I use a Windows Pro 7 laptop gaming machine for hobby-based audio fun. It has been difficult to get a clean audio signal from multiple sound sources (tape, cassette, CD) into my laptop using the laptop's Audio In jack. After purchasing the SoundCraft Signature 10 for mic testing and mixing reasons, I discovered that the USB input/output port can deliver a pristine CD-quality audio signal right into my recording application (usually Total Recorder). This makes life so simple! Everything else is frosting on the cake. 5 |

[Yes] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked up the external LG CD/DVD drive because my new laptop doesn't have a drive. I have decent music CD collection and the LG device has allowed me to listen to and copy, my music onto my laptop. It's fast and plays everything well. It's also streamlined and easy to keep on my desk without taking up too much space or getting in the way. 5 |

Not wanting to pay for either a replacement within the laptop or a new laptop, we opted for this very inexpensive and easy to use external DVD optical drive.
