I tried heavy-duty mounts from every company, I tried bolting things in place, and I tried everything short of welding a bracket for the monitor. I still ended up with this Ergotron arm with the HD Pivot. I am so glad that I ended up biting the bullet. Setup was easy, the only issue I had was that I needed to reinforce the desk with wooden boards because the weight was too much for my Ikea desktop. Other than that I am looking at a pile of arms I tried that did not work and realizing that I spent more than the cost of this arm trying to find a cheaper alternative. Learn from my mistake and just go with this one from the start.
