Samsung Passive 3D Monitor

[74.5"] If there was any doubt about whether I like this monitor, it should be dispelled by the fact that this is the third Samsung UR59C monitor I've purchased. I'm using them on three computers. I use them for programming, electronic design (schematic capture and PCB layout), 3D modeling, as well as the usual office applications, email, etc. A curved monitor does take a little bit of getting used to for CAD and 3D modeling.

[9.54 lb] It's holding up a monitor that I use for running 3D printers.

[0.37 lb] I use it in my 2019 Mac Pro with 4x2TB m.2 SSDs from Samsung. The passive cooling works great, I see consistent write/read speed rates in continuous heavy use and the drive is silent.

[1920 x 1080] I really like this monitor it's a definite upgrade from my 32" samsung.

If you need a passive near field studio monitor a little like Yamaha NS10s but with a nicer sound these are your babies! They have low distortion and a really nice high end and not harsh but also retain a very workable low end which makes mixing a breeze. I use them everyday as a mixer in Los Angeles.

[0.125 lb] Using the passive display port/hdmi Microsoft adaptor, I could only get 1080 out of a 4k monitor hooked up as a secondary monitor for my Surface Book. Plugged in the active display port adaptor from Startech and problem solved. Took my Surface Book and Startech adaptor to Best Buy and tried multiple 4k monitors to decide which to buy and everyone worked perfectly at 4k resolution.

[100 x 100 mm] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upgraded from my old monitor Samsung Space Monitor and this is such a huge upgrade. Love how this monitor screen is gorgeous, fast, smooth and it can be use as a TV. Amazing I'm super impressed!!!!!
