[Proprietary] Bought them as rear speakers for a 5.2.2 set up using a SONY AN1000 Receiver. Did not want to run cables to the rear of our family room. Everything worked out of the box and after using the auto calibration it simply sounds amazing. Apple Music tracks with Dolby Atmos (via Apple TV 4K) also sounds fantastic with these. Great buy.

[CEC, eARC] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Q990D is still the best soundboard solution out there, not only does it provide you with the best possible immersive experience with Atmos/DTS:X capabilities, but it looks great doing so. The design is unchanged from previous generation, but that's not a bad thing at all, it's a great looking soundboard and ascetically pleasing. Blends in very well with most if not all decors. It slots in under our 85 QLED utilizing the Q-Symphony mode. It engulfs the room with sound from all directions. Top middle sides and rear, it really draws you into the experience of being there when watching any content. Especially more so when Atmos enabled soundtrack is played back during a movie. There is not bad seat in the house, you can almost see the sounds you hear, which is a strange thing to explain, its just so good that you are lost in the movie. The rear speakers are loud, and really add that extra layer od depth. If paired with a Samsung TV you can also connect the soundbar wire free, no need for HDMI connection, you can utilize the WiFi connection to pair the TV very easily. I opted to use the e-Arc port but both sounded about the same, I was not able to tell the difference. One of the best features is the SmartThings integration, which allows full control and adjustments to the speakers and EQs. Also enable Smart Voice assurance and SmartThings hub. The sound modes pair very nicely with the set, the AVA really does make a difference with voices and dialog enhancement, you never miss a dialog. SpaceFit Pro really just dials in everything for you and ensures that you get the best sound possible. Overall you cannot go wrong with the Samsung Q990D as the king of Atmos Soundbars.

I love that it is Bluetooth compatible and I can control it from my phone. I cannot believe how much power comes from this speaker. It sounds clear and clean. I also like the design. It is very sleek. I have listened to it for hours and have yet to charge it. It really holds a long charge! Hooked it to my TV for movies OMG the movies sound like it's real . I love this speaker and wouldn't change it . I live in an apartment so security comes and tells me to turn it down it's the bass is extremely awesome sound I love it and recommend it to anyone that's looking for a good speaker. This is it .
