[>96 dB] I have a Panasonic BluRay player that I love... however, after being forced to get a 4K TV when my beloved 1080p LG TV died, my blu ray discs looked awful on the 4K display. I'm not interested in re-buying my collection on UHD, and the vast majority aren't available in that format anyway. So I took the plunge and purchased the UB820 with the hope that I would upscale better than the TV hardware... I am pleased to say that it definitely does and my blu ray discs look wonderful again. I did purchase a few 4K UHD discs and they of course look amazing as well.

[Horizontal Only] If you decided that you would build a Blu-Ray burner/player etc etc to your own specifications, the Buffalo BDXL is exactly what you would build. Pros: Everything. Cons: None. Have burned 20+ Blu-Rays with mine, so far, using ImgBurn, also few CD's with Windows Media Player. Software that comes with the unit plays Blu-Ray just fine... have not used its other features. The BDXL uses a Pioneer drive. Totally trouble free, to date... never have needed to call an 800 number for anything whatsoever.

[4K] 4K Blu-ray player is working great but this is my second one the first one or last year and a half it was working great until it stopped working but this was a great deal on this one I like the features on it but I got a warranty on this one I hope it lasts longer than three years

[Yes] This is a great blu-ray player at a very economical price. There's no reason to pay more when this unit does the job. It also doesn't take up much space.

[5.2] Was a Pioneer fan boy till their Elite receiver and Blu Ray player failed me after 2 yrs of usage. Read allot of recommendations about Denon and decided to try their 5.2 A/V receiver offering. My 'Sierra 2' sounded so alive and present now with the headroom to go more. What a difference in sound.

[33 W] Great small switcher. Used it to add a Blu-ray player, Xfinity cable box and Tivo DVR to one of the HDMI inputs on my Samsung HD TV. At first, the Tivo didn't want to connect but I simply turned off the TV and back on. Then everything started working perfectly. Now I switch between all three devices without any issues. Definitely recommended.
