[15.5 lb (7 kg)] The Datavido HDR-80 is a compact video recorder for up to four SDI 1080p60 camera feeds at once. It records to a pair of SSD carts, in a tag-team (serial) fashion. You can hot-swap a filled drive for continuous operation. Setup is straight forward, with a touch screen. Recordings are in Apple ProRes422, including standard, HQ, LT, and Proxie compression. It can also record one channel of 4K60, via HDMI or SDI. As a real plus, the HDR-80 writes file headers continually, so that you lose only a few seconds of video if the power fails.

The small display allows reasonably quick changes to any of the many parameters including superimposing text and various borders for centering and framing. It really is a dandy unit. The only thing I'd like is for them to add a second HDMI output.

[0.1 lb] The battery is for my son's digital video recorder. It was used extensively for only about 10 days and worked very well, no complains. What will happen later we don't know but hope for best.

[Purple] I'm using this with an Atomos Samurai, hard disc recorder coming off of SDI. The Canare cable works like a charm. Also has good solid connectors, the best I've seen.
