[6.61 lb] Great for dark studio photography shots. Still mostly using my paper seamless backdrop, for regular/client shots, but I've been using the black cotton backdrop mostly for my personal project or to test out certain ideas. I really like it.

[1 x 0.6 x 0.6"] I set up my varidrive with my seamless paper and I couldn't be happier! Letting the backdrop up and down is smooth and effortless... it is surely a "smooth operator!"

This is my absolute favorite backdrop stand. It is so solid and sturdy and works great for seamless paper rolls and heavy fabric backdrops. I have three of these in my studio and they are so well made!

[Switch Pro] I make a lot of still life and constantly use the seamless backdrop technic. Until now, I was using all I could get my hands on to support my fabrics, some, very heavy. I decided to buy a real kit, browsed the site, read the reviews ( all of them... ) and bought this one. Sturdy built, good range both in hight and width. Easy to set up by myself and comes with a nice heavy duty bag with 3 different compartments so the elements don't rub against each other. Even has a pocket where I store 4 medium size clamps. I would definitely recommand it. Not THE best, but the best compromise.

[Black] I needed to have a ceiling-mounted backdrop solution and this kit from Impact fit the bill perfectly. It allows me to keep three rolls of seamless permanently attached and thus it's incredibly convenient to have a backdrop ready in under 30 seconds. I was able to create a solid mounting base with 2x4s that I attached the brackets to. See image for one end showing the 2x4s between two I-Beam style joists. I drove screws into their ends to prevent any movement. The whole thing is extremely solid. I really like that you can adjust the tension of the rolls as this was crucial since I added some DIY aluminum strips to the paper's edge. I'm using 53-inch seamless and the strips weigh about one pound. I'd say if two pounds or more, one would risk not be able to get enough tension. FYI, there are 175 links in each chain. I ended up creating two of each color with 87 links each. My basement height is only 7.5 feet, so chains of half-length were enough for my needs. And, I now have backup chains should any break. Though the links are quite solid, so don't think that will happen. Finally, the plastic pieces that fit into the metal slots are tight enough that there shouldn't be any issues with the rolls popping out of them.

[1] Love the ease of use and transport of this backdrop compared to the normal rolls of seamless. They are machine washable although due to size, you'd probably need some sort of industrial washing machine. Going to definitely pick up the green chroma and white next!
