[Black] This mic is awesome. I additionally have a Sennheiser MKH416 which has better noise rejection. This Neumann condenser has a preferred frequency response. As a result, this mic is very well suited to live processing with an Apollo x8p or Twin X. I also have a few other mics, but this one is amazing! 5 |

[1 to 3 V] Before purchasing this, I actually purchased a Sennheiser e965 condenser vocal, which is apparently their top-of-the-line handheld vocal mic. While it was certainly a very high quality mic which I am sure works great for many others, it just didn't fit my voice, even with some EQ experimentation. So, I sent it back and decided to try the e865. Yes! Incredible warmth and presence, able to cut through the band with room to spare, great intelligibility. Short story, I love this mic! 5 |
