Sennheiser Mke 400 Shotgun Microphone

[0.105 lb] I bought this item to go along with my Sennheiser MKE 600 shotgun mic. Which is fantastic, by the way.

[Faux Fur] The foam of my (discontinued) Sennheiser MKE-300 shotgun mic had rotted over the years. I needed a replacement and took an educated guess the #2216 might do the trick. It did! Probably fits even better than the original and doesn't sport the annoyingly splashy Sennheiser logo on the old one.

[0.2 lb] Was looking for a proper connection to connect my Sennheiser MKE 400 to my iPhone , after searching and finding this cable I bought it right away. I have absolutely NO regrets. [0.525 lb] The Sennheiser MKE 400 ships with the MZH 400 Furry Windshield but, alas, I lost mine. The MKE 400 has a blimp like outer tube, so it does fine in light wind without a deadcat. However, once trades kick up, I bust out the fuzzy Sennheiser deadcat and all is well in paradise. It's snug but not too tight and is easy to mount in a few seconds of toil. It's fitted so batteries can be changed without removing the deadcat.

[Foam] The MKE 600 Shotgun microphone is an excellent choice for high-quality audio for video productions. I've used this in noisy environments on location shoots and was very pleased with the results. The extremely long battery life and durable metal body make it a solid choice in-studio and on-location.

[Mono] I have a Sennheiser MKE 600 that I use for filming interviews and short films and it's excellent. I purchased this Synco on a deal if the day for 99.00 as a back up and for when I need a second microphone. It has a different sound than the Sennheiser, perhaps a little more bass, but that could be a filter setting. However it's a solid microphone and very impressed with the build quality and also the case that is included. Additionally, both an xlr to xlr and xlr to 1/8 cable is included. At its regular price of 199 it's still a super value, almost 50% less than the Sennheiser and considerably less than the Rode. It's also a hyper cardioid so great to have an alternative more focused pickup pattern. I think the MKE 600 is one of the best microphones available in its class at 1k and under, and I would have no problem substituting the Synco when needed.

[1 User] I use this AT shock mount with my Sennheiser shotgun microphone. It's been dependable for 13 years. I have taken in all over the world in some very rough conditions. I finally broke the bracket where it screws into my boom pole after all the abuse I've put it through. So I purchased the exact same one as a replacement. It's light weight, easy to use, and quick to put the microphone in or take it out. It's probably the best shock mount for the money in my opinion.
