[Manual Focus] Having owned the GREAT Sigma 85mm art lens and the FANTASTIC Tamron 85mm 1.8, I can say without reservation, THIS LENS IS AMAZING!!! This lens is as sharp at 1.2, as the Tamron at 1.8!! That is INSANE considering the Tamron is fantastically sharp at 1.8... Wow... The Sigma is sharper yes, but it doesnt go down to 1.2! Ill sacrifice the MARGINAL sharpness for the better aperture, boken rendering (OMG!!), and overall different artistic look this lens provides... Oh yeah, its manual focus.... But Im adapting to Sony so........Lol

[28°] Got this along with the 75mm f/1.2. The lens is super sharp and focuses like any other lens. I really don’t have much to say about it other than it’s good and there isn’t anything that’s similar (regardless of price). It gives the FF 20mm f/2 look which I really like and is a bit different. The Fuji and Sigma 16mm lenses are good but I prefer the extra width here. In terms of build it’s not the weather sealed tank like the 75mm but I’m glad it’s not quite as big and heavy as that. If you want a lens around this focal length for Fuji or Sony it’s a no brainer.

[Aluminum] I bought this to basically live on my Viltrox 27 1.2 for X-Mount, which is just a little too sharp for my Boudoir clients. This fixes my problem perfectly- it just takes the edge off.

[Canon RF] This lens is ridiculously sharp, even at f/1.2. And with the R6 / R6m2 it focuses fast and almost never misses. I have owned the EF50mm f/1.2 for about 10 years. I always loved the lens, but found it to be a little soft. When I transitioned to the R6 I was extremely happy, as it breathed new life into the lens; hitting focus almost every time; looking very sharp. After getting the new RF 85mm f/1.2 and seeing how sharp it is, once again I feel like my old 50mm f/1.2 is lacking... I guess I'll be upgrading that one soon.

[12] I had my heart set on a Cron 2.0, but I read the reviews and they were spot on. This is amazingly sharp, bokeh is beautiful, and the color is neutral. At 1.2 it vignettes in a beautiful manner, by 2.0, it's crystal sharp. Note at 1.2 it does purple fringe in high contrast areas when sun is out...not as bad as the older 1.1 version, but it's noticeable.

[Yes] This lens does exactly what I was hoping for - a sharp, fast, small, and durable lens for walk around, candid family, and travel photos. I'm not a huge fan of 35mm equivalent so the 17mm 1.2 wasn't an option. I have used the 25mm 1.2 and that lens is a better performer (more contrast and a bit sharper compared to the 20mm have been my main conclusions) but it's not much faster and its huge. So far I'm very happy with the choices they made when designing the lens.

[58 mm (Front)] Sharp across the frame at 2.8. Very thin DOF at 1.2 (of course) and a bit of loss of contrast but PP can resolve much of that. Smooth bokeh. Solid build. Classic Voigtlander color signature. If you like 40mm, this is the lens to get.

[11] The E-mount Viltrox 75 -f/1.2 works perfectly on the a6700. As noted in virtually every review it's sharp even wide open, has excellent contrast, sweet portrait perfect bokah and exceptional low-light performance. Its combination of very fast aperture and short-tele (112.5 mm FF Eqv.) focal length is unique and it's price point is 1/3rd of what a comparable lens from Sony might cost. As you might expect, it's a little front heavy on a light body like the a6700, but it's easy to quickly adjust to the front balance. It's obviously ideal for portraits, and I'm also finding that the 112.5 mm equivalent focal length is usable for most street photography. At distances of 8 to 10 feet the massive front element is not too subject intimidating and the super-precise a6700 auto focus results in sharp eyes even with the very thin 0.85 inch depth of focus (at 5 ft distance and f/1.2). At 10 ft and f/2.0 the plane of sharp focus is more forgiving at about 5 inches so makes for easy, quick AF candid shots. Sharpness and contrast exceeds my classic (much more costly) Sony-adapted Canon 50 mm f/0.95 manual-focus full-frame lens. Bottom line: This lens is unique and is an extremely useful creative tool for Sony APS format camera users as long as you understand the capabilities and limits of large aperture photography.
