[Aluminum] Nice addition for my Z 24-70, so can use on it and the z 14-30.

[14.2 lb] You can never have too much space in a rack drawer.

[Full-Frame] I can honestly say I prefer this lens to the Nikon 14-24. The sharpness is honestly astonishing, and I love having the ability to zoom to 30 mm. I find myself less and less shooting at 15 mm so the small degree in wide angle is not so important. However, I find myself routinely shooting between 24 and 30 mm. So the trade off is more than justified. While you can't use screw on filters, I've turned to the NiSi filter system available for the Tamron 15-30 and it works perfectly well, though it is a bit cumbersome and awkward. Though you'd be forced to use a complicated filter system with any ultra-wide. I have found that this lens can catch some sun flares, but mostly only when shooting directly towards the sun on a bright day. I don't think there's a lens in existence that wouldn't catch some flares under those conditions.

[L-Mount] Excellent performance in a tiny, lightweight, comparatively affordable package. 14mm with 77mm filter threads, and no vignette at 14mm even with a CPL - Impressive! One of the best ultrawide zoom lenses I have ever used. This includes: Nikon 14-24 G, Nikon Z 14-30, Tamron 15-30, Sigma 12-24 Art, Sigma 14-24 DN, and Lumix 16-35. Sharp details across the frame at all focal lengths, rich color and contrast, and almost no noticeable CA. This lens does not rely on software corrections to cover the FF sensor at 14mm like some other modern 14-__ ultrawide zooms. If you open the files without lens corrections, you will see the image circle extents well past the image frame, perhaps 13mm. If I am being picky, my only gripe is that the sunstar is nothing special.

[22 TB] We use this drive with 11 Hi-Res 4K cameras - gives us around 30 days of 24 hour storage - we rely heavily on this HDD for retrievals.
