Shoulder Rig For Blackmagic Cinema Camera

[1.4 lb] I never fully could understand what the 'magic' is about a shoulder rig. Its about weight distribution. Ta da. So in filming documentary work..I have a heavy video rig. I recently upgraded to a cinema camera, a RED rig. It is not light..loaded down with Tilta electronic focus system, Vlock battery, cage, monitor, etc. Although not 'designed' for this..I can with a simple twist extend the monopod quickly..snap the rig onto the monopod via the Kessler Quik plate...and rest the cinema camera's weight and create smooth handheld shouts with a prime lens for long periods of time. Love this monopod!

[Black] I have a Blackmagic URSA mini and needed a way to hold the shoulder rig in place. This works. If you know how the camera is set up, the handles work well to put the camera on a flat surface. Throw it on a tripod...ad on the shoulder - very quick. Build is good, grip is comfortable, feels like it will last a while. i like it

[1.4 oz / 40.8 g] I use this with the Nucleus M handles and a Blackmagic Ursa G2 shoulder rig. The cable is a little long but it can be secured with bongo ties, velcro, or tape. Just connect it to a Nucleus motor, wirelessly pair the handles or FIZ with the motor(s), and plug the LANC end into the camera body. Now your Nucleus M record buttons work like a charm wirelessly.

[4x 18650] I have tried it with my Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K, which is too wide to fit without some kind of adapter. First, I just used the riser that comes with the gimbal, offsetting the upper plate. That worked, but made it hard to attach the camera. Then I got a quick release plate (just an inexpensive one made by a company called Andoer). That is certainly more convenient. I have never used a gimbal before, but found it very easy to balance the camera on it. The roll lock certainly helps. I would guess it took no more than 5 minutes, and I expect to get faster at it as I gain experience. Its very easy and intuitive to use, solidly built, and the motors are certainly strong enough (but I havent tried it with a heavy lens). The batteries take a long time to charge, but seem to last a long time. I suspect one could get a full day of use out of them.

[0.25 lb] I use this for my Blackmagic Cinema 4K camera and my IKAN Quick Snap Pro Battery Rail Kit with V-Mount Battery Plate for Blackmagic Cinema Camera / Production Camera. When I bought the V-mount it came with the P-Tap to BMCC adaptor but it came with an additional add on part to fit in the AC jack on my camera. I had it for a week and some how the adaptor piece broke. The v-mount plate works great and is sleek but I needed a replacement part to have it work. I found this and everything is much easier. Theres no additional plug to make this work, this is ready to use out of the box and works perfectly with the Blackmagic Camera. No headache, no issue and so far its working perfectly. Worth the money.
