[5 V] This speakerphone is very clear on both ends. Was able to hear the other person speaking clearly even when my portable air conditioner was running in the room.

[C-Wire] Easy to use! Controls air conditioner and furnace. Reads humidity levels. Maintenance tracking and reminders.

[Yes] You can shoot in the rain. It has an opening for your tripod. It has a plastic window for your viewfinder. Your hands come in to operate and stay warm. Have a UV filter on your outer lens and you are rainproof. You can even tape a top shield to your sunshade for more raindrop protection.

[Black] The other case I had was very difficult to slip the lens into and out of. The side opening of this case makes it so much easier to access this lens.

[Latch] I use the 1650 now as my studio in a box for location work. It's the size of an international suitcase. I considered getting two smaller pelicans versus one big one but in the end went for the simplicity of one generous case. There is something satisfying about opening up the case and hearing the air lock release. If you have done your research you will know that Pelican's are indestructible but the pay off is the weight. A price you have to pay for the durability and the air/water/dust tight seal. The wheels are solid under the weight of a loaded case. I have dragged it across rocks, gravel and just yesterday through a cow paddock with uneven ground, dirt and grass. I avoided any 'cow pucks', thank goodness. It's a good feeling knowing that everything inside is protected from dust! I used to carry 2 camera bags, 1 utility bin and I attached it all with bunji cords to a dolly. Wrestling through bags and the bin was time consuming and no matter how well I organised things ahead of time, things soon fell into chaos. I love opening the case and seeing everything I need and might need in clear view. Everything has a place and it's a no-brainer to drop back into place when shuffling and changing out gear. Regrets: I waited so long to get one. Cons: I am a woman and so the weight is a bit of a challenge but I needed a good excuse to build upper body strength!

[12.7 x 7 x 3.2"] My new iPad air 2 hangs around the kitchen mostly (we have a great bay window there) and I use it for cooking as well as when my granddaughter comes to play with it. The base is very secure, even on a glass tabletop, and I can make the pad face completely towards the ceiling for cooking, but also adjust it for other uses. Adjustments are seemingly infinite and secure. I do not imagine I would have to repurchase it, it is very sturdy. Although the backstrap for holding up the iPad during presentations seems a but unnecessary for my purposes, I can se where it would be useful.

[Yes] We purchased an Eve Weather Station, and a Logitech Circle View week ago for monitoring our pet's room a week ago. Since we only had a couple of window air conditioners available as heat wave was starting, and could not leave room door open, we wanted a way to check in on our dear pet and make sure the room was not getting too hot for their health. Prior to this purchase, we had never made use of Apple's HomeKit technology and were completely ignorant of how it worked. Setup was very easy and quick. In addition to the Home app on our phones, we also downloaded the Eve app (this is not required per se, but may be to allow for firmware updates to the Eve Weather Station when made available). The app provides nice graphing for tracking trends or pinpointing historical readings, for example the difference in temperature before and after we added weather sealing to the window around the air conditioner. We were very happy with how easily this worked out, so we purchased several more and have distributed them throughout our living spaces. We are curious to look into seeing if we can also download the data as backup for later analysis as we experiment with other experiments and changes and attempts to manage heat and cooling. (This is a very old place with original, single-pane windows, there is very little insulating, and a southern exposure!)

[Sony PXW-FS5] I needed a waterproof cover for my Sony FS5. The pictures do not do it justice. It fits very well - a little oversize if anything. But the number of opening surprised me. There is a hook and loop opening on top that allows you to grab the top handle which is useful if you want to leave the Rain Slicker on before/after the rain. There is a zipper that gives access to microphone attachment. A hook and loop opening is available on the grip side of the camera, yet sheds the water with or without your hand on the grip and allow easy access to the grip controls. The other side has two clear plastic windows that afford a view of the control side of the camera and the LCD Screen. Hook and Loop allow you to tent the opening for the LCD screen to keep water out yet provide a clear view. Finally there is a h&l opening on the back to allow access to the battery and connectors (SCI, HDMI, etc) on the back. There is even a flap of material that allows a microphone to be open in the front yet protected from rain. This flap doesn't extend past the lens so you may have to move a shotgun mic back. The only negative I've found is the elastic opening for the view finder doesn't grip the eyepiece very well. If you have the large eyecup mounted it will hold everything in place but without the eyecup the cover will not keep the eyepiece held in place and you have to make an effort every time you want to look thru the view finder - but it does keep it dry that way. All of the opening are designed in such a way as to shed the water around the openings. I haven't tried it in blowing rain but I bet that you could adjust the opening for a tighter fit. The material is a heavy duty waterproof canvas that isn't going to tear or wear with normal usage.
