[Clear] I use this on my Sigma 56mm f14 Fuji x and protects very well and image quality is preserved

[Autofocus] I have several exceptional Fuji lenses (56mm f1.2, 16mm f1.4, and the 35mm f/2), and this 90mm f/2 is no exception. I needed a little extra reach when shooting sports, so this 137mm equivalent, coupled with the lightning fast XT-3 (30 frames per second) basically guarantees that I capture the images Im looking for. The included polarizing filter really helps neutralize harsh lighting conditions.

[28°] If you've done some research on this lens, you know it punches well above its weight class. Sharpness (in the center) is pretty exceptional, even wide open at F1.4. I've pixel peeped the shots and they're no softer than the images taken with my 35mm F2, at least in the center. Unfortunately I don't have the Fuji 56mm to directly compare but from what I've read online, the two are very, very close in terms of image quality and sharpness. Without a side by side comparison at a 100x crop, you'd almost certainly never notice the difference. Note that the autofocus performance on this lens is actually superior to the outdated 56mm, which is from 2012 and uses Fuji's sluggish first-generation autofocus motor. At less than half the price, this F1.4 lens offers pretty outstanding value. It's not without its faults. The exhaustive list of drawbacks to this lens I can think of include: clickless aperture ring (that still changes exposure in hard stops), lack of WR, relatively mediocre handling of chromatic abberations, corner softness at wide apertures, and stronger than average flaring with bright lights. These have all been relatively well documented across articles and video reviews on the web. If you're willing to put up with these, you may find this to be a killer portrait/general purpose lens for a steal of a price.

[1 lb] If you’re looking for a sharp, compact, and affordable lens for portraits or low-light work, the Sigma 56mm f/1.4 is a fantastic choice and offers great value for its price. It should work well within your budget of $500.

[Glass] I used these for my Sony 11mm and Sigma 56mm lenses for protection. Handles fingerprint smudges and repels moisture well. I have taken shots with them on, and the quality of glass did good! Excellent Value
