Sigma Fp Mirrorless Digital Camera External Mic

[Plug-In Power] This mic is an excellent choice for GoPro or mirrorless camera users who want an external mic that won’t block a selfie screen. Since it doesn’t require a hot shoe, it’s good for a Sony a6400 or a Sony RX100 vii, for example. Even though it’s called “omnidirectional,” it’s actually a directional mic that can be swiveled forward or backward. I haven’t tried it outdoors but I assume if you put a small “dead cat” over it, it would perform quite well outside. Nice accessory for 25 bucks.

[Sony E] I bought the Sigma fp thinking it would be great walk around camera with a small wide angle lens. It gook 9 months for then to come out with it but it is here now. It makes great pictures, sharp with great colors. It's not quite as small as I'd like, not a pancake, but small enough. It has a great feel to with with an all metal body, nice clicks on all the stops and easy focusing if one decides to use manual focus. I'm very happy to take the small 3.5 over a larger, bulkier 1.4. My only complaint is that it would be nice to have a button to take the lens out of auto aperture settings. It has slipped to a manual setting a few times with out being aware until I can't change the aperture from the camera. Otherwise, it's really a joy to have and to use.

[Leather] Though a little bit expensive, this is a very nice camera strap. It compliments my Sigma fp camera beautifully, could of been slightly longer in length but still a great high quality strap.

[Universal] I just received the Sigma fp with 45 mm lens. I spent DOZENS OF HOURS on the B&H website sesrching for a second camera, to add to my Olympus OM D M5 Mark II. I examined throughly Nikon, Canon, Pentax, Fugi, Panasonic, Sony and Sigma. I looked at used cameras as well. I looked at medium format, DSLR, mirrorless, point and shoot, in all sensor sizes. I started with a all metal body Canon F1 in 1975, and stayed witj Canon until the Olympus. My underlying concern was I wish there was a camera, preferably in full frame, which had a simple, button free front. I bought a Sigma 70-200 mm f2.8 lens years ago for my Canon. That is when I switched to Sigma. The Sigma fp with lens caught my attention. The simple exterior layout, small size and Sigma quality. When I saw the previous price of about $2,200 for the Sigma fp and lens, it was a true value. I continued to review and look at cameras. When the price was reduced, the camera and lens was a TRUE VALUE when compared to other cameras. So I.boughr the Sigma fp and 45 mm lens. When I set up the camera, and began trial exposures the quality, simplicity, and value was obivious. The operation of the camera, as well as making selections is so much simpler and less intimidating than other cameras. As cameras have progressed, the size of a full frame camera has become.smaller. A side by side comparison of my MFT with the Sigma fp reveals no large differences between them. After using a MFT for six years, I'm ready to return to a full frame camera.

[Black] The clamp integrates easily and well with Sigma FP and the 8Sinn cage. Since the camera's weak link, I've read, is the micro hdmi connection, the security of having the clamp reinforce this connection is reassuring.

[1/4"-20 Male] This was made for a Canon dslr, but it works very well on my Sigma FP. Helps me see the screen in bright sun, as this camera lacks an EVF. Slightly bigger would have been better, but I can still see about 98 percent of the screen. I bought it on sale, so it was a super bargain.

[0.12 lb] I've been getting excellent results using this and a sigma fp on a gimbal. I'd buy it again.
