Single Cell 1.5 Volt Lead Acid Battery

[750 VA] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this running for a couple weeks now and couldn’t be happier. I’ve installed this quite easily in my wall rack and have to say I am very happy with it’s performance and solid build quality. It’s as plug and play as you’re going to get. I find myself often looking over to see that it running as it’s very quiet and the fan only turns on when the load get’s to a certain levelEven then I just don’t hear it. Seems to be very efficient with low heat. This unit also has the lithium-ion battery and seems to weigh less than half the weight (just over 30lbs) of my older lead acid battery unit and smaller in overall size. In the long run I feel it’s going to be much more cost effective replacing the lithium-ion battery over time as they’re just getting cheaper and last longer than the older lead acid batteries. From an aesthetics point of view, I feel the unit is nicely designed and appealing. The multi-function LCD is easy to use and view various in-depth metrics. If you’re in the market looking for a smart ups or to replace a older lead acid unit then I highly recommend the APC smart-ups. Good quality brand and dependability.

[0.15 lb] I really like this form factor and prefer it over the other small single 16340 straight body lights. Other small 16340 lights often have small buttons on the side of the light which can be hard to find in the cold and particularly when wearing gloves. By contrast, this light has a large button located on the top and is very easy to find and use. I have a number of the previous Olight single 16340 headlamps -- this newer version has much more noticeable knurling and is shorter because the body attaches at the base of the head rather than having a cap attached to the base of the light. One thing to keep in mind is that the included cell is a proprietary Olight IMR cell with a raised collar around the positive terminal top bump to reduce the chance of shorting with the negative terminal collar which is also on the top of the cell to allow in light charging. There is a standard negative terminal at the base of the cell, however, the collar will prevent charging on many stand alone charges (for example the Fenix ARE A2 charger). Also, the emitter produces a bluer light than the daylight balanced light produced by some of the previous gen Olight single 16340 headlamps.

[0.125 lb] This was a bit of a splurge, but it really does work better for my needs than the single cell unit that came with the camera. 2 batteries can be charged concurrently and monitored as to conditions. Handy! Also plates for Pentax cells, or other brands, allows for charging a variety of cells. Very happy with this gadget!
