Smart Pan & Tilt Security Camera

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] This was exactly what I was looking for. For my work I just need a pan/tilt; solid and sturdy build. Pan little on tight side fully disengaged but it turns out it works well for me.

[0.065 lb] I don't use it frequently, but it works well when I need to remotely pan and tilt my camera. I did find I need to make sure I firmly push in the cable to make a good connection. Otherwise, it's been reliable and does the job.

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] The reason I purchased the Manfrotto Befree 3-way Live Head was to use my Nikon Z6ii to record video during kids sports events. I was looking for a lightweight, low-cost, pan-tilt, fluid head as that would provide a smother left-right and up-down movement during video recording. This is great for this type of video work. The handles are easy to manage tension on them. I really like that one of the handles folds down for easy storage. The head is light which is also important to not carry a heavy gear in my bag. The standard way to hold this for recording video is with the long (foldable) handle pointed to the back (toward you). The Arca-type connection is a clamp from left to right. That means that if you have an L-bracket on your camera, your camera won't be in the standard position. If you mount your L-bracketed camera on the head, then the long handle would be out to the left of the camera. This is not the ideal way when video recording because only 2 axis are fluid filled; pan (the base) and tilt (the long handle). The short handle is not fluid filled and is usually used to level the camera or tilt it 90degrees/portrait mode. If you are using this for photography, then the position of the camera shouldn't be an issue since you would probably set your shot, move any axis as you need to to frame the shot, and then tighten the head to not move.

[Yes] Robust construction. This is a beefy unit. I have no fear when mounting an expensive camera on it. The tilt and pan action is extremely smooth. Lock screws function flawlessly.

[2.8 to 12mm] So far I am pretty impressed with this camera for the cost I am impressed. This is pan and tilt only, no optical zoom. I am really happy with the night view. The initial setup didn't go as smooth, I had somehow set a passcode and had to factory default. It may have been the 7716 recorder I ordered with this camera.After that the set up was straight forward. I didn't see a pendulum bracket so I built my own. So far I am very impressed and plan on getting more of the Color Vu cameras. I love Hikvision's smart features as far as detecting humans and cars, Makes reviewing video less painful.
