[Silver] This is an addition to several APC Smart-Ups units already in the office and this one is for the server. Designed as a rack mounted unit but being able to use it as a stand alone set up as a tower is a big bonus. This stands upright next to the server. The built in features along with the Power Chute software allow us to schedule tests and get notified via email if there is a problem. APC has been our go to UPS brand for 20+ years. An add on battery pack for this unit will be added in the near future. Pricey? A little, but worth every penny. Kudos to B&H for the decent price and fast shipping. Looking for an affordable UPS? APC is always a good choice.

[55.7 lb] problems with an APC 1500 ups dropping my trading computer @ power failures. This CyberPower PFCsinewave just got tested and ALL is well. I used the APC to upgrade the modem/router ups so no loss, Of course B&H ship & $ still as good as it gets. 4sure, Bob10

[15] I traded my UPS 1000 for the 1500 VA to consolidated all my UPSs in one "box." I also had two UPS 800s. Pros: it works, it's quiet (unless it encounters a spike, then it makes a "bonk" noise) good documentation, good customer support for the first few days after you buy it Cons: If you have more than one computer, you've got to buy the network card; pricesfor the 1500 and the card are a bit high for a pro-sumer user; I discovered that it's cheaper to buy the system from your local computer store

[8.3 x 6.9 x 6"] I use a total of four APC ups units. Three are small and one is a 1500. I usually buy new (trade-in) for the small 350 units, but it is far more cost effective to replace the battery in the 1500. The recycle option is appreciated and works. Unlike the other reviews I just read, I am completely satisfied with the last two replacement batteries. This most recent one arrived 100% charged and installed providing full capability and showing twenty minutes battery time remaining. Since I have a full backup generator in the event of power failure, I need only 30-40 seconds power backup from the ups, but the battery and surge protection provided has saved me more times than I can count. I live in NW Florida, one of the lightening centers of the country.

[0.175 lb] For an old codger, the prospect of replacing the battery in the Furman F-1500 UPS was daunting. The device is heavy, awkward, and inconveniently located in a ventilated cabinet. The process, on the other hand, was remarkably simple and easy. In fact, the most difficult part was prying the rubber covers off the latch releases. The battery goes in from the front; the front comes off easily; the carriage disconnects/connects without trouble; and, most amazingly, the handle on the battery allows it to be pulled out almost effortlessly. The dreaded task was completed in less than ten minutes. The battery carriage itself, of course, is an exact replacement for that which came with the UPS. After sitting in its box for a couple weeks, it still had a quite adequate charge. All in all, a totally positive experience. It was out of stock when I ordered it, but B&H predicted availability accurately and delivered just when they said they would. Highly recommend the product, the process, and the source-of-supply.

[ 480 Joules] We are a reseller based in PDX Metro and have repeatedly recommended and sold APC Smart-UPS products to our customers. This is a workhorse with great price to performance!
