Sony 16 50Mm Kit Lens

[75° to 34°] I went a little legacy/manual lens crazy (50mm and 135mm Minolta MDs and Mitakon 50mm f/0.95) after purchasing my Sony A7 body recently and decided I needed to settle down and get a respectable AF/zoom/IS lens and this had good reviews and was quite reasonably priced. Imagine my surprise when this lens immediately proved itself to be way more capable than I expected. Quick to focus, nice colors, and sharper than any kit zoom has business being. I had thoughts of getting the Zeiss 24-70mm later, but that went out the window. I came from M4/3 and APS-C and this zoom lens performs close to some (some mind you) prime lenses I have used before. The IS.. OSS... really makes itself apparent in many situations in a good way. There are times where I have been on the verge of flailing to capture a fleeting candid moment that would soon pass and the hit rate has been far above near any lens I have ever owned previously. I admittedly had low expectations, but this lens has earned a permanent place in my camera bag. Also it performs phenomenally when used with the Sony HVL-F32M flash. This lens, that flash and battery grip make up my go to all purpose kit (when I will be in all kinds of lighting and conditions). I am very pleased with this purchase.

[Empty] Fits my Fujifilm XC 16-50mm perfectly. Seems to be made for this lens.

[5] Sturdy enough for my Sony A73 with my 16-35 lens.

[Canon EF] Giving this 5 stars because these do what they are designed to do. I was using these with my 70D 50mm 1.8 & 16-35 II. At first the 13mm tube did not establish a connection to my lens but the rest worked fine. After reconnecting my lens 3 times it worked and works every time. The build is solid and they fit firmly to the body and lens. For just under $50 this is a great buy.

[0.01 lb] At half the price of Nikon's optional hood for the 16-50mm, it is perfect. Strong metal. No vignetting. Threads in front for filters, or use a filter in between which makes turning a polarizer or variable ND hassle free. Still compact, which is the point of the Z 50 and Z fc with the 16-50mm. Protects the lens, too. Should have been included with the lens.

[Black] I purchased a Nikon Z50, a FTZ, 16-50mm lens and added the 50-250mm lens to use on vacation and a walk around group. The 50-250mm lens is an excellent addition to give the Z50 the reach it needs to get BIF and other wild life. I have used it to capture this Hawk in my backyard. I had to shoot it through a window screen
