[3.33 lb] I think it is the best quality 50mm lens available for any mount.

[85mm] I absolutely LOVE this lens. I got it with my Sony A7ii as my first E-mount lens. I wanted to get a fast, prime lens to get started into photography. This was at the right price point for my first, entry-level lens. It had good reviews. Wasn't expecting that much from it, and it has performed beautifully. Images are always incredibly sharp (as long as I'm doing my part). The build is very stout, but simple. Autofocus is okay, and manual is smooth. Depending on your body, it could make your setup very front-heavy. This is a great lens for anyone wanting to do portraits, street, and even landscape. That last one may sound a little odd for this focal length, but I think telephotos are underused for landscapes.

[Leica M] Used with 50mm 3.5 Macro OM lens and 50mm prime OM. Flawless.

[2.4 lb] I bought this as an inexpensive way to convert my nifty 50mm Prime lens into a Macro Lens. While not a true Macro, it sure makes a very good facsimile. The images are clear and sharp and expanding my Creativity. When I add it to my 24mm Prime, the Images are unbelievably large! I can't wait until my Roses bloom and the bees return.

[72 mm (Front)] Just received the Tokina Opera 50mm f/1.4 to use on my D500 as a combination portrait and longer length prime lens. It hasn't disappointed yet, the lens works well with my D500 and it really is sharp wide open, which is what attracted me to this lens. It is heavy for a 50mm prime but no heavier than the 70-300mm Nikon lens I have been using for telephoto shots. B&H service was great too.

[f/1.8] I love my 50mm prime lens, but I needed something more compatible with low light photography in tight spaces, like walking around a big city. This lens is perfect for that - night time action shots are still totally doable at low ISO, and you can capture a full scene even when you're just a few feet away from the subject.

[0.335 lb] I use this product to take macro shots of jewelry. My 50mm f1.4 prime on my Canon Rebel t3i instantly turned into a macro lens and produced amazing images. Saves $500 on a good macro lens, and costs nothing. Be prepared to focus manually.

[L-Mount] This Leica 50mm Summicron-SL lens is a lovely, long-awaited prime lens for Leica SL series cameras. Leica's original SL zoom lenses are burdensome to carry and use; and though subsequent APO primes are of course lighter, they're still larger and weigh more than some other-brand zooms. However, the new, non-APO, SL prime series (there's also a 35mm) cut both the size and weight of the APOs by nearly half. One can only be grateful. Naturally, pixel-peepers can assure themselves that this new 50mm lens does not match the extraordinary optical performance of the APO version, but it is still excellent and more than adequate for any normal use. Now what Leica needs to do is to complete its new, non-APO series by adding the 18mm, 24mm, and 85mm models.
