Sony Automatic Turntable

[17.855 lb] I upgraded to the 429 from a fully automatic Sony turntable. The Sony was ok but it was mostly plastic and the push buttons to operate it seemed mushy. Also, there were limited choices to replace the stylus. The 429 is a superb upgrade. It has a much better build and sound. The Ortofon 2M Red stylus is widely available and can easily be replaced with same or upgraded. Setting up the 429 was easy - even for someone like me that had never configured a tonearm before. I'm using the built in preamp on the line setting directly connected to my powered Edifier speakers. I attached the ground cable to an unpainted screw on one of the speakers and it works fine. (Although, I'm not sure the ground connection is even needed in my situation.) I also appreciate that I purchased the turntable when there was a $100 instant rebate and I didn't have to pay sales tax. Overall, I highly recommend the Dual CS 429!

[20.41 lb] I'm replacing an old Technics SL-3200 semi-automatic direct drive. I wanted a 3 speed turntable with quartz direct drive, and no clunky auto return mechanism. I like the J bend tonearm. It's pivot to stylus distance is more than the old one. The AT-VMN95 cartridge is a nice design, requiring no nuts for mounting, and there are 6 different styli that fit it. The feet are adjustable for leveling. This is not a DJ table that can start up real quick, stop on a dime, or run backwards. It's for playing music, and that works for me. I haven't tried the USB yet, but I sure will. So I'm happy with this turntable, and it's a keeper!

[4 mV ±3 dB] This is the turntable I have been looking for. It has automatic start and return and has a built in EQ that allows you to run this table with a modern receiver that does not have a phono input. My receivers have phono inputs so I don't know how well this feature works. The only complaint is that the output of this table is not as high as my previous Technics table. This may simply be a matter of the stock cartridge which is serviceable, but pretty low end. I have purchased an Ortofon cartridge that may raise the output level, but I have not installed it yet. I'm going to run the table stock for a few weeks to get a baseline for comparison of the new cartridge. B & H had the best price on this table that I found and they shipped it out quickly. [2 g ±0.5 g] Excellent turntable for the money. Striking looks, automatic works great, and it sounds wonderful. Straightforward setup. Very impressed.

[36 W (Maximum)] The two major reasons for choosing this turntable was the beautiful wood finish and the fully automatic feature. The internal preamp works beautifully and I'm beyond pleased. The only gripe is the poor instruction manual from Thorens. Tone arm balance was poorly explained and it does not explain how to adjust the automatic feature if the tone arm starts too far in. Luckily a youtube video addressed that issue. Sine then, its been a joy to own.

[Black and Gold] We upgraded to this fully automatic turntable and we couldn’t be happier. The fact that you no longer have to run to stop the spinning - and the dreaded crackling sound - is so convenient and makes us listen to records a lot more. Sound quality is amazing, too. Great buy.

[T22] This is my fifth Rokinon / Samyang lens but this one is not tested yet. It's my second cinema lens, & looks perfect. * One of the others is an automatic focusing lens for Sony, 35mm f1.4, and I have the brick for firmware updates. * I've had good luck with 'Elite Brands' lenses and with an old history in manual photography, have no problem with that. My digital cameras provide highlight colour focus confirmation. * Good to deal with B&H. This completes my current orders, thank you! -

[Tabletop] I had been researching for weeks and had actually tried several microphones with my SONY A58 DSLR. Unfortunately, the automatic gain control is a problem for shotgun mics and since most of my work is interview type situations I decided to give this a try. B&H THANK YOU for having this in stock. You're one of the few companies that did. I have had this setup in the field for a short time but it is a stellar performer. The system is easy to setup and use and the sound quality is great even without post-production work. Love the versatility of the unit. Very impressive for my use at an affordable price.

I use this flash for my Sony a6300, a marriage made in heaven :-) All automatic features work well with the camera and this speed light is powerful. I have not used the led light for videos yet, and maybe never will. This flash works better, fits better and offers far more for less money than any of the Sony branded speed lights

[Adhesive] I do wish Sony had designed their RX100 cameras with more of a useful grip. So this accessory is an automatic must-have for me. Be sure to follow the instructions in mounting - the adhesive is quite strong.
