[0.96 lb] Perfect 35mm for Sony. Having used both the Samyang 35mm 1.4 and 1.8, the 1.8 is objectively better and also happens to be much lighter and costs less. The 1.8 has great autofocus and image quality whereas the 1.4 has horrible autofocus and lesser image quality. 5 |

[49 mm (Front)] I am extremely pleased with the quality and performance of the E 50mm f/1.8 OSS lens. IQ is awesome! I have it mounted on my a6000. No focusing problems and I have not noticed any CA or vignetting. I would by this glass again in a heartbeat. 5 |

[9, Rounded] Are there any better lenses for APS-C sony? F1.4, sharp, and at a good price. The only thing lacking is OSS. 5 |

[Yes] Works smooth with the 28 to 135mm Zoom Lens on the FS7, useless on Sony Vario-Tessar T* Fe 16-35mm F/4 Za Oss and the Sony Fe 70-300mm F/4.5-5.6 G Oss Lens. 5 |

[0.06 lb] Bought this to go with my newly purchased Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM OSS Lens and for a mere extra $500ish I've also got a 400mm lense. Works great! 5 |

[f/4] Let me say that I have most Sony APSC lenses, so I can honestly compare most of them along with the Sigma Contemporary Prime lenses, My copy of this lens is nothing short of superb. It does not have softness in the corner and is comparable to the Sony E 16-55 2.8 lens that costs about $300 more. Every lens meets a specific need and as long as you use it in the way it was design you will have few complaints. This lens covers a full frame equivalent of 24-105mm and has Optical Steady Shot. Images out of it are definitely better than those out of the E 18-105 PZ OSS and E 18-135 OSS. The main advantage it has though is that it goes from 16-70 and is significantly smaller. Now for the elephant in the room, how does it compare to the E 16-55/2.8? I would say that in most situations you will be hard pressed to tell the difference, but the 2.8 is a bigger, faster lens with better image quality on a stabilized body like my a6600 or a6500. The problem with the 2.8 is that it is bigger and more noticeable. I have mistakenly brought big camera lenses to places where I wanted to photograph my granddaughter and drawn way too much attention to myself. This lens is small enough where that will not happen. It is also a joy to vary because it is so light. If you get a good copy of this lens as I did, you will never regret having it. 5 |

[9, Rounded] This is the bread and butter focal length for APS-C. And getting a constant f2.8 is really useful. With APS-C sensors you want to keep the ISO low, so speed helps. Furthermore it's harder to get subject isolation with APS-C so speed is key. Focus works as well as any native lens (which is excellent). The lens is sharp throughout, produces good colour and contrast. It close focuses and has OSS - great for a6000, a6100, a6300 and a6400 cameras without sensor shift. It's bigger than its peers is the only negative thing I can say - but this is to be expected as it's either substantially faster (than the 16-70, 18-135) or has OSS (vs. 16-55). I found the image quality to be better than the the Sony 16-70 (though I still like that lens) and quite a bit better than the Sony 18-135. It's a tad behind Sony's most excellent 16-55 (which is a true stunner at every f-stop and focal length). Put another way the Tamron is close to the Sigma trio (giving up f1.4 for zoom convenience and OSS). It's a good compromise at a good price. Highly recommended. Now get out there and shoot! 5 |

[Neoprene] The Sony FE24-240 OSS Lens is everything I wanted for my Sony a7RIII camera. Not only do you get a 24mm to 240mm lens all in one mount, but you 2x “Zoom” and a 1.5x “Super 35mm” the 240mm lens can give you 720mm power (as the picture shows below). Even with at maximum f/stop of 6.3, I still have enough light in the evening for pictures of birds or deer feeding at dusk. Also with a close focusing of ½ meter you can still stand right by a flower and get a nice picture. For “People Picture” is great as well, of course at 24mm it will blow a scene out of proportion sometimes (people walking up a stairwell for example). The 24mm setting is fine it you are taking pictures of a room and are about 8 feet away from any walls. All in all, this is a lens to use as your “base lens” for the Sony a7RIII and when you are on the move, at least in this pandemic, it lets you see what you are missing, while staying away! 5 |
