[1/2.7"] Incredibley smooth bokeh! Without a doubt the best at this price. Very sharp, too, capable of outresolving the A7RIV when stepped down. Far better than the Sony 50mm F/1.8. Optically I'd compare this to my Sony ZA 55mm F/1.8! Equally sharp, and even better aberration handling compared to the ZA 55mm. The bokeh from this lens is what's truely special. The optical design seems to be based on the classic Sonnar layout, but with a few extra elements to remove abberations. The end result is you get bokeh that's far better than any vintage SLR lens, completely blowing away every 50mm on any SLR and even DSLR, even Sigma's own Art series. This is possible due to the shorter flange distance on mirrorless cameras, allowing the sonnar design to fit without extending into the mirror box! This is truly a special lens, and the only comparable lens are the GM and ZA Sony lens. Nothing else comes close.

[47°] It's big, the biggest prime in my FE lineup (ok 90mm macro is longer...) It's heavy... I think it's the heaviest 50mm across any mirrorless system (though I suspect the Leica SL will be heavier), and I believe only lighter then the DSLR Sigma Art. Thought it's distributed well. Its AF is slow-er then the next best choice, the 55mm F1.8. $1,500 for a 50... ouch Yet, it's... Sharp. Amazingly sharp wide open. The mic has been dropped here, nothing more to de debate. Handling... I already really like the 35mm 1.4... this ones pretty much identical and even better with the addition of the focus mode switch on the lens and an even fatter barrel. FBW implementation in MF (dampening, response, accuracy) is on a whole other usability level vs. 55mm. Those aspherical elements are absolutely fantastic - NO ONION RINGS! NADA! So yeah, bokeh lovers rejoice! Boooooooooookeeeeehhhhhhh... After using it extensively for 2 months it's my fav prime at the moment.

[12mm] Best wide option for your Sony FE camera

[35mm] I used to have the Zeiss 55mm 1.8 and it was everything they said about it but it didn't felt right for my, this sigma is not as sharp as the 55mm, nor as an 85mm but it's unique look makes it an amazing portrait lens, the rendering is really good and I prefer the warmer colors from sigma, I had the 65mm before and sold it for the 55 but now I got it back again also because of the weather sealing the 65mm is a well rounded option.

[Yes] Works smooth with the 28 to 135mm Zoom Lens on the FS7, useless on Sony Vario-Tessar T* Fe 16-35mm F/4 Za Oss and the Sony Fe 70-300mm F/4.5-5.6 G Oss Lens.

[Sony/Minolta A] The build quality is fantastic, busy as good as my Leica to Sony FE Metabones. Works perfectly, love using my old Olympus lenses. Fantastic.

[0.55 lb] I've owned a couple of these and got my 2nd one for the Sony FE 200-600MM. Quality is very high, solid. It is a protective filter so it feels good to have it on the front of my new expensive lens keeping the objective lens clean and safe. Light transmission is high due to being optically clear which is a good thing on this lens, particularly when shooting at sunrise/sunset. Get it on sale when you can, you won't be disappointed.

[5 x 4 x 0.6"] How I use the Lens Flipper: - I bought this lens for use with my Sony FE lenses. It allows me to have a total of 3 lenses on hand with my Sony Alpha a9 body to use. I actually bought the Canon EF version of this LensFlipper, mounting L-glass lenses that are usually on the heavier side and this thing has NEVER disappointed me. What I like about the Lens Flipper: - I do NOT like the idea of lugging around 2 camera bodies. (that sounds expensive and cumbersome). Being able to swap lenses and keep all my shots on the same card with an accurate chronological order kept sounds much more ideal to me. This LensFlipper allows me to perform quickly where speed is essential, especially since I prefer to shoot with prime lenses. With my lightweight Sony FE lenses, this is working out even better than with my Canon lenses. I work can be anything from events to portraits and this helps for both. A strap is provided and it works for me. What I don't like about the Lens Flipper: - Absolutely nothing. Well done, GoWing. = Overall: - This a very nifty, innovative invention. If you're using it to hold smaller, lighter lenses like I do, it's such a relief on your shoulders.

[0.245 lb] Purchased this along with the Sony FE 14mm f/.8 GM lens. It was very easy to install but be sure to have a #000 torx screwdriver to remove the Sony screws since the supplied screwdriver only work with the Haida screws. I do recommend have an electronics mat to work on since the screws are very small and become easily lost. Installing the back plan filters are simple and you just flip the latch the hold them in place. The entire kit is a nice addon to any shooter of this lens!

[f/1.8] The lens provides picture quality that is definitely significantly better than Sony FE 28mm F2.0 and even better than the Canon EF 28mm IS USM. My copy is optically almost perfect lens. On the dark side we can find not so much - the weight and dimensions might be a little bit less, and there is some quite moderate field curvature that is leaving completely after aperture down to f4 and more. Generally, that is an amazing lens.
