[Precut Foam] When used with the Canon C300 Mark II: 1. Auto focus is fast and accurate. The autofocus does make a low noise which the built-in mic or an attached mic will pick up, use a remote mic on a boom or a remote lavalier mic. 2. Servo Zoom speed can be dialed from a constant very slow to very fast. The zoom buttons are a little awkward to use with the C300 since the C300's hand grip support and the zoom buttons are on same side. The zoom button location is great, however, when the camera is held sideways facing left while tracking someone walking and zooming out slowly for a location shot. 3. Manual zoom is smooth and the zoom ring is nicely positioned for left hand operation. 4. The lens, with stabilization turned on, and C300 Mark II are light enough to use handheld with smooth and well composed video. 5. By comparison, the heavier Sony FS7 and 18-110mm F4 zoom lens combo is (for me) too cumbersome for nimble handheld work. 6. When the camera is mounted on a tripod, there is a zoom remote attachment that makes activation of the Servo Zoom easy to reach. 7. The lens appears to have slight barrel distortion at 18mm which can be corrected in post if needed. 8. The CN-E# 18-80 T4.4 lens is not very bright. Here, the Sony FS7 18-110 combo wins. The Canon C300 Mark II (at 800 ISO) needs an EV about 8.5 or more for autofocus to work reliably. The FS7 (at 1000 ISO) can autofocus at about 7 EV.

[Aluminum] I use this with my Zacuto Sony FS7 II Recoil Pro V2 and it works great. Has some weight to it but it's built well.

I was noticing some strange interference/noise when using my Sony UWP-D11 into my C100 Mark II handle that I never noticed when using the same mic into my Zoom H6 and I also didn't notice with other mics into the C100 Mark II (Rode NTG3, Sennheiser G3 Lav). I read that this came down to the stock cable that comes with the Sony Receiver that doesn't get along with the C100. Swapped it out with this and the interference/noise is now gone. As with all Kopul products, the build quality is top notch and I am very happy. Highly recommend even if you aren't looking to get rid of a specific issue like I was.

[Yes] I use this lens on my Sony a7R Mark II and I love it, it's a Full Frame Lens with a nice clarity that produces great pictures. At F1.8, this lens is capable of taking good images in low light conditions and also produces a lovely background blur when taking pictures at full aperture, especially on portraits. This lens is also great for video, it has a "low breath" when focusing, it's not fast, at least on my a7RII, but it will do the work, with almost zero out-of-focus images when doing a high fps shooting.
