Sony Noise Reduction Headphones

[AAC, LDAC, SBC] I love these headphones. As stated in the title, I replaced my Shure SE215 in-ear monitors with these. I used Shure IEM's for traveling because of the high sound isolation provided by the triple flange ear tips. I decided to go a different direction with these because all my other headphones are Sony and I've always preferred the sound of Sony. I use Sony IEMs and Sony over-ear headphones for producing, mixing, and mastering music to give you an idea of my sound preference and experience with critical listening. The noise cancellation in the WI-1000XM2 is very comparable to the sound isolation of the Shure's. I would say with the proper fit, the noise cancellation is better, unquestionably in the low frequencies. The sound of the WI-1000XM2 is excellent. Slightly bright but not overbearing and certainly not lacking in bass. Detailed, clear, and balanced. I've already used them for traveling and love them, especially on planes. This is my first neckband headphone and it doesn't bother me. I might even say I prefer it as they can remain around my neck without constant stowing. Also, the cords to the earpieces are short won't tangle :) The build quality is excellent. I highly recommend them!

[Rubber] So far it's a great product that's helping a lot with noise reduction for the lav mic.

[Foam, Metal] I did a before and after recording using Adobe Audition. The reduction in background noise after installing this filter was profound.

[Steel] Absolutely LOVE this enclosure! Been searching for ANYTHING CLOSE to the XRackPro2 by GizMac (I believe they closed shop - so sad). I wish it was a little taller than 9U, but I made it work for my purposes by installing some smaller components in the back. Built SOLID! Love the quality construction! Fans are powerful without being too loud. And, of course, does a good job at noise reduction. Not as good as the XRackPro2 with noise reduction ... but all in all, DOES A GREAT JOB!

[2.0" / 50.8 mm] These are great! Relatively easy to install, and the noise reduction when recording is really noticeable. I'm looking forward to pumping out a lot of high quality content thanks to my investment. They're really work as advertised. While much less expensive options exist, and I encourage anyone wanting to do a sound treatment to look into them, if you're OK with the price, these are awesome! Great work Auralex!

[ABS, Neogynium] I have used briefly and they are comfortable with good noise reduction. Still able to hear conversation clearly. Not as noise muffling as foam plugs but more comfortable for long term use.
