[V-Mount] I purchased The Watson battery charger for other batteries years ago. I just got a new Sony a7rIII with the new NP-FZ100 batteries and was able to buy the plates for the batteries and replace the plates with the old ones. Great thinking Watson for saving me the price of a new battery charger for these new batteries.

Needed a little charger like this to charge my NP-W50 battery. Great Sony quality and pretty compact to fit in my camera bag. A bite slow to charge a completely drained battery, but not a deal breaker. Great price at B&H, and as always the service was impeccable.

[6.4 x 4.6 x 2"] I purchased this charger to go along with my Sony A7 camera, which regretfully does not include a separate charger (only in-camera charging via USB). The Sony-branded charger is both much more expensive than this Watson model and less featured. This Watson charger supports and includes a 12V car adapter as well as a USB port for simultaneously charging a USB device. So, for example, I can charge two NP-FW50 batteries simultaneously, one in the charger and one in the camera via USB. Or, I can charge one NP-FW50 battery and my iPhone simultaneously, only using one AC outlet, which is especially convenient when traveling. My first unit was partially defective in that it could not simultaneously charge my iPhone 4S and an NP-FW50 batterythat combination repeatedly triggered some sort of overload reset. But Watson's customer service responded that it should be able to do that and got me a free replacement quickly, which no longer has that problem. Another aspect of versatility is that the battery interface plate can be replaced, allowing potential use with other battery types, although I haven't exercised that feature.

[LCD Display] Charger works great with the Sony NP-FW50 and Nikon EL-14 charger plates. Batteries charge quicker than in camera for the Sony and about the same (it seems) as the Nikon supplied charger.

[3] I have used this charger a couple of times with two Sony NP-FZ100 batteries and it has performed extremely well. It took roughly 4.5 hours using an older iPad 12W USB power adapter to fully charge both batteries starting at 20% of their capacity. I love the built in USB cord contained on the bottom, see pic.
